very good hearing and these discs are erratic.

The only discs I use for music. Nothing comes close to this. I'm a musician with very, very good hearing and these CDs are miles ahead of any Chinese or any other CD. Get them if you can. I understand they may stop production. I would give them 6 stars if I could. They are extremely durable and of unmatched quality.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Excellent CD quality

I have been using Memorex CDs for ripping music CDs for a long time. About 1 in 10 CD copies was bad. I mistakenly assumed that the problem was with the CD burner. Then I started reading CD reviews and found that others had the same problem. Then I bought these CDs. I haven't had a single bad one since the exchange. They cost more, but they're worth it because they deliver high-quality copies.

Great for Sega CD Best in Accessories & Consumables

top loading) and where other brands can cause intermittent read errors, these discs have performed flawlessly on every disc I've burned to date is working. I use them with a LG UH12NS30 burner via an Esata/USB external enclosure and record at the lowest speed these drives allow, ie 16x.

Analog and smooth for blanks

Possibly the most analog and smoothest sounding blanks I've tried, each burn produced a smoother sound with a little warmer character than my other CDs! Noticeably less digital harshness during playback and very musical without loss of detail. Very happy with the quality of the CDs. Seriously this seller's packaging could really use a little improvement, my CDs are rolled in an oversized thin box with padding on 2 of the 4 sides. I had a heart attack when I opened the box and saw cracks in what

Best CD media I've used in 24 years

I've been making CD media for 24 years now, these Taiyo Yuden/Victor Advanced CDs sold under the JVC brand are the best ones I have ever used. Recommended for storing audio or data. If you think that optical media is still the best option for long-term media storage (it is) and you're looking for a CD format, this is for you. Silver lacquered base. Keep them clean, store them properly and protect them from the sun and they will last a long time. Zero coasters with over 140 burns. I wish I would

Product performs well over time

I bought a hundred packs of these CDs ten years ago and used them exclusively in my Roland/Boss 1600 16 track recorder with 8 simultaneous recording tracks. The service was top notch. I didn't have a single problem recording them and the recordings have survived the years. The durability and good service of these discs is important to me as I record at least a few albums a year in my studio and I want my clients to be happy with the master I create for them. No problem. I hope the company still

Unusually Good Looking CDs

These differ from regular CDs in that the top (label surface) is varnished rather than having an outer layer of media used for labeling. It's completely empty; very smooth and shiny - you need to use a marker like Sharpie to write on the surface. And it collects fingerprints very easily. But if you can keep it clean it's a great looking product. The result after burning is good - when checking the quality of a disc (like an audio CD) there are occasional errors that are eliminated by theโ€ฆ

You could also spend the extra money

I've read bad reviews about Maxell, Sony and Verbatim hard drives but decided to give Maxells a try. For the first 20 CDs I experienced a bounce rate of 25%. Returned to Maxells and decided to pay extra to try these JVC rims. They claim to have the lowest failure rate in the industry and apparently that's true. I burned 20 of these and the failure rate was zero. To be honest, if you increase the price of a CD to include Maxell's 25% failure rate, and also count the time wasted burning discsโ€ฆ
