Read if you book a Power Shuttle combination!

I love this backpack, strong, comfortable, big, it has everything I need. I use it as my daily work backpack for which it's a little big but suits my needs. The main reason I got one star is because the powershuttle didn't match the color scheme of the backpack I ordered. I ordered a mineral backpack (blue/orange) and a power shuttle, but the power shuttle came in a dark shadow color scheme (grey/green). Looking back at the items on Amazon it doesn't look like the Power Shuttle comes in any…

Subterra Review: Backpacks

I know a lot of people say they don't leave product reviews and this is the first time they do it. I don't do product reviews and this is the first time I've done it. I'm doing it for free just because it's Thule. This Subterra model is really something special. I have a large Thule Covert DSLR roll top backpack that I really like, but it's too big for everyday use unless you're packing a lot. That's why I decided to get a smaller backpack. You only stick with a brand when you feel you've made…

Perfect size backpack for everyday use

I bought the Subterra 23L and 30L to compare because I wasn't sure about the size (see ). I have found that 30L is more beneficial to me on a daily basis. I ride the subway in NYC and need something flexible if needed. The 23L was perfect when I just needed to take my laptop with me, but sometimes need to bring something home from work (or to work with lunch, for example). I also use my backpack when traveling and the larger version fits into weekend wear when the smaller one doesn't. I found…

Very well organized backpack but deceptive in its place.

I got this backpack in an unloved color (dark forest green). Let me just say how surprisingly good this color looks. It is a very pleasing dark green color that changes color slightly depending on whether the light hits it. The design of the backpack is beautiful and modern. It sits very comfortably on my back and I had no back pain while wearing it. I drive to school, sometimes I have to walk a mile or two and so far so good. The only thing I don't like about this backpack is that it doesn't…

30L bigger than it looks

When I ordered the 30L backpack I was expecting a decent backpack but to my surprise it was even bigger than I expected. This worked well for me as I carry quite a bit of gear with me, from multiple laptops to DSLRs, drum machines and ZOOM recorders. My Subterra combines all of this at the same time and sits comfortably on my back. Meanwhile, the build quality is excellent, as you'd expect from THULE, and features like a side zip for your laptop are great. However, I would like the extra…

Great 30L backpack but not exactly what I was looking for

This is a great backpack. Pros: - Materials feel nice and strong - Straps are big and comfortable - Luggage pass-through handle feels delayed but works and doesn't stand out - There's plenty of space, I can fit a large to medium sized packing cube in my laptop - Organization is amazing Lots of pockets for everything - Nice big thick zipper - Great bag overall Cons: - A bag this size really needs to either open like a clam or at least 80% down. I can't get to the bottom of the bag or see what's…

For professionals with style

The Subterra line is beautiful and elegant. The craftsmanship, detailed structure, and (funny) bright colors show others that you believe in quality, clean lines, and a great sense of style. This is what originally drew me to Thule and this line of backpacks. I first bought a 23 liter Subterra in the color Mineral, but when I first got my hands on it, it seemed too small. It could hold my journal, my MacBook Air (with a bit more space), pens/pencils, a few folders and a small change of clothes.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

This is the best backpack I know! I am a 36 year old researcher, mother and traveler and I carry a backpack to work every day and also take it with me on every trip and vacation I have ever taken. My favorite backpack was previously also in the Thule line (crossover). I've had it for over 3 years and I still love it. Before that I used bags from Ogio, Burton, Jansport, Camelbak, Osprey and others. For the price, this backpack really has it all (well, almost). I mentioned that I use it for work.
