"Super Strong? " AVOID.

Very poor quality. The plastic long fin broke at the joint after only 4 months in 24 km/h wind. That's super strong for you. I previously had Totes Classic and Blue Line and found them much more wind resistant. You must now pay for the privilege of replacing a faulty/defective item under warranty as Totes does not cover shipping both ways. Stay away.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Sad equipment

I bought this umbrella just a few months ago while searching.

I only bought this umbrella a few months ago hoping it will last for many years. Hasn't even seen rain yet (used it for sun protection in hot sunny Texas) and has been blown away by the wind 3 times already. Unlike other cheaper umbrellas, the wind tore the fabric at the joints and broke the spoke. So much for the 70 mph wind claims. Coming back to cheaper umbrellas: exaggerated claims about this are unjustified.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Waiting too long

Expensive and very short lived. Waste of money

Complete garbage. After one season (I live in the desert so we only get 2-3 months of rain a year or maybe only 10-15 days of umbrella use) one of the loops on the spoke broke and there is no way to fix it. The spokes have fiberglass rods to ensure the flexibility of the connection. After a very short time, the fiberglass wears out. This is a very expensive umbrella from a company that was once known for their quality (my previous bags lasted 25 years). Now it's just expensive junk. Don't waste

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Disappointment. 1 of the 3 I bought was blown away on first use.

It seems to be a very good umbrella, compact, beautiful, durable. My wife and daughter seemed to be jealous, so I gave mine to my wife and ordered 2 more, for my daughter and myself. The first day I used my brand new one, I got caught in a storm with unusually strong winds. Not hard enough to throw me off stride, but I made sure to point the umbrella toward the wind and rain that was coming my way from the side, not letting the wind catch the umbrella from behind and flip it inside out . the…
