Description of 🌷 Orange Tulip One-Color Permanent Fabric Dye

Dye activates with hot water and salt for ultra-rich, even color coverage. Fabric Dyes are mixable so you can create your own custom dye colors for any and every project. Perfect for reviving faded clothing you still love, giving shoes, bags & clothes a whole new look, or adding color to home décor items like curtains and pillows. Most vibrant on natural fabrics such as 100% cotton, rayon, linen, ramie and silk; can also be used with cotton/poly blend fabrics. One packet makes 1 gallon of dye, which can be used to dye up to 1⁄2 pound of fabric (example: one men’s XL shirt) to full shade shown on package. Note: this is an estimate and actual amount of dye per project and dye vibrancy depends on the user, the size of the fabric and the fabric itself. Tulip Fabric Dyes are perfect for allover dye coverage, dip dye, shibori and other tie-dye techniques. Have fun exploring the creative possibilities!. The hotter the water, the deeper the shade of color. Pure polyester, acrylic, nylon and special finish fabrics are not recommended for dyeing. Packet contains 1.76oz of dye

Dissatisfied!

I have followed all the instructions up to T. I tried to cut the chair cushion covers and both covers were the same material and the same age etc. They were both in the same time period and same batch of dye. I just washed the covers together and one came out a lot lighter than the other. Not happy because now I'll probably have to darken dying them both again so they can be the same color. I damn hope I didn't ruin the chair covers with that stupid paint!

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • piggy bank price

Tulip Dye Rocks

I love this color! I bought this because I was struggling to find the perfect turquoise ruffle for my daughter's twin bed. The other brand listed as "Turquoise" looked more like army green. A cotton ruffle with eyelets took a dye bath to perfection. I used it as directed and even added a little more hot water than directed. I stirred with a stick every 15 minutes. There were no streaks or uneven coloring. My only regret is that I didn't paint her lantern to match and now I'm planning to buy…

Pros
  • Nice to use

Amazing Amazing

I make mohair for artists to use on their dolls and it sells for a lot of money because we have to go through it to make it so I'm very careful about what I use. I've been using Rit for 60 years and even started using liquid and am very happy again but it's getting too expensive especially for certain colors and I needed this royal blue so I thought I'd try Tulip and I was able to couldn't believe how beautiful it was and how fast. All in all I can't use salt because it ruins my hair so much…

  • Delightful
