🐢 Turtle Creek Farm, Inc. Stock Tank Secret - Brown (Size: 9" x 7") Review

Didn't work in our water tank. I tried this product in my 50 gallon tank after thoroughly cleaning the tank. I still saw algae and the water got cloudy and had to be changed about every 5-7 days.

Very disappointed with this product. I bought these because I was using some locally bought ones that worked great! Green water in the feeding trough for 1 week! Unacceptable. especially the ones from the box store worked for 3 months and cost $2 less!

I used it in my 100 gallon black Rubbermaid tank (which is on the north side of the barn) for two months this summer. This helped remove the "slime" but I still had to clean it up. I just didn't have to grind as much. After about 6 weeks it didn't seem to be that strong anymore. I could use it again.

I purchased Stock Tank Secret and Stock Tank Defense to try in my 97 gallon Hastings drinker. Stock Tank Secret is harder to use; You should push it down with a rock or something to keep it from floating to the surface where horses are more likely to play with it or scavenge it. I actually cleaned my holding tank, added fresh water and a new bag of this product. I chose to weigh it because the packaging says you can. After a few days the aquarium was very green and long strings of algae were growing on the burlap. After a week it got worse. So I ordered this for my self-filling water bowl for my chickens. We have 48 chicks and a 33 gallon automatic waterer. We dumped it about a month ago and no algae! Yes, at first it swam around the top of the barrel, but after a while it settled to the bottom. The chickens don't seem to notice the water quality.
