It breaks off in the middle of the story. DO NOT BUY!

I brought this for my daughter to read with her books, but I think it was too much for this player. It cuts off in the middle of the story, it's hard to turn it on, you have to hold down the base button to hear anything. SAVE YOUR MONEY. I can't get a refund now because I missed the small refund window they offered so I just gave away my $32😑

Pros
  • Not a bad performance
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

FUNCTIONS DO NOT WORK

I was trying to buy a CD player to take with me on my daily walks. This was my third try. It has decent sound quality unlike others I've tried. It's probably strong enough and looks good. Control does not work. It's hard to get it working, but once you start playing the CD the various buttons don't work. This is such a basic thing, I don't see why you have to tell the manufacturer to fix it.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I will add later

Max volume is whisper setting :(

Nice design and easy to use. Need one that I could change batteries with and use in a caravan so maybe 3 times a year. The volume on the controller is still terrible Whisper to max Using an extra cable for trailer sound system, both volume on max, doesn't disturb neighbors and can talk at normal volume with background music, ear plugs might be ok if volume actually worked, headphones were better so plan a good set with this device. If you have hearing problems, this product is not for you!

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • No instructions

CD player comparison

I've bought a lot of portable CD players over the past few years because they don't last very long. My first CD player was a Sony and it lasted a very long time. I bought Insignia CD players because Sony no longer makes or sells them. The first Insignia worked for about 6 months and stopped working. The second and third Insignia players worked, but the volume knob didn't work and stayed at full volume. The last Insignia I bought didn't work at all so I tried this Tyler player. I've had it for a

Pros
  • Great for me

Good but low volume

This is a good CD player. Plays most popular file formats. MP3, Windows Media, CD Audio. Low volume in the headphone jack. You must be able to climb higher. When I connected it to external speakers, I had to turn the speaker volume up to 55 to hear it. These high volume speakers I use should blow you out of the room. None to connect external speakers to. For me, that's not a deal killer. Also what a really good player so far. Love you can recharge the batteries in it. It has a switch to turn…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Discontinued

Very interesting.

Bought to replace a 20 year old CD player. For around $30, I'm not setting my sights on anything fancy, just something to play CDs with. Here's what I have. It does the job. The manual is printed in faint ink and probably in 3 dot type and is illegible and there is no online manual - go to the website listed in the manual in the box and you won't find it can product at all. It's also not there when searching the web for CD user manuals. Time for a magnifying glass or a good copier. Or maybe…

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Easy maintenance
