I really liked this brush for applying chalk paint. It worked well for getting color onto a large area. It didn't lose many bristles at all and was easy to manage. I only gave it four stars because after one use, when rinsing off the paint, the metal ring holding the bristles of the walking stick came off completely. There was enough glue to hold the bristles in place, but I found it to be a poor design to peel off on first use.

I really should have checked the measurements carefully when ordering. It was my fault so I didn't deduct a star because the brushes are ridiculously small for my project (large dining table and chairs). I ended up buying a large brush to do most of the project. The first time I chalked furniture and bought brushes, everything worked out. I've read other reviews and soaked the brushes before use so loose bristles fall out. These brushes aren't very big, so if you're painting or waxing large furniture, I recommend buying larger brushes. I use these and the larger kits to whitewash my kitchen cabinets. They did an excellent job and worked great until my flat just fell off the handle tonight. Overall I like this brush but it has some limitations. The bristles are a lot stiffer and rougher than I expected and I would have preferred a softer bristled brush, but this works quite well for giving a bright yellow shine to a waxed piece. Why did I polish the wax by hand?! With this brush you can polish the waxed surface of furniture faster and with less effort. I hand made one part which resulted in terrible hand cramps that lasted for several days. Then I ordered it and it was 100% worth it.
