Easy to install and connect Original factory wiring but these brand new sensors stopped measuring the black tank level within the first 2 weeks. Even though I use a factory installed flushing system to flush the black tank every time I reset after two months, the black tank sensors are no longer reading correctly. Unfortunately, purchasing and installing these devices was a waste of time and money.

Just got back from a 2 week hike where we gave it a good test. This product appears to be working and seems to have solved the problem of tank reading errors. The tank exit indicators have not worked for the last 2-3 years and that seems to have helped. It was a little harder to install than I expected, but I installed it in an hour and a half and it seems to be the answer to bad fuel gauges.

Once I removed the bottom cover and had access to my tanks, the actual process of removing the old sensors and installing the new ones took 15-20 minutes per tank. In some cases it was quite difficult to remove the old sensors so I just put them in the tank which was a lot easier. After installation, all tanks were empty for the first time since buying a motorhome. They were only installed for about a month and hardly used, so an accuracy report will follow later.

Old sensors with head on black sump do not work properly. Horst Probe is better than the OEM level gauges they use. The paper stuck to the side panel that covered the button and showed the level in the tank. I just emptied the tank at the landfill, I'm pretty sure it was empty. When I got home I took a flashlight and looked at the stool in the tank and it was indeed empty. Later I filled the tank with water, let it sit overnight and emptied it the next day. Horst sensors read our gray tank correctly again. The original fuel gauges are inherently inaccurate and although they worked for several years one gauge had dirt and the tank read 1/3 full when empty. I tried a heavy duty tank cleaning chemical that removed a lot of "things" but didn't clean this sensor.
