this is a cable and it works great for me

Just bought my second 1000ft box with this stuff; There aren't many things I haven't used the first box in the house for. HDMI extenders, USB extenders, KVM adapters, and even the occasional Ethernet line. My longest runs have been around 100 feet, averaging around 10-20 feet. Basically I had no problems. However, he loves to bend and you should pull him slowly and carefully.

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Not CAT5e, does not support gigabit.

Wondering why my new computer can't handle security cameras, I finally decided to do a speed test. On a gigabit line, the speed is only 70-80 Mbit/s. The PC gets 800-900 Mbit/s with other cables, but not with this one. You definitely get what you pay for here.

  • New to my collection

Bad wire on wires and connections

Colors are hard to see, stripped wire doesn't fit RJ45 very well, read about this wire before buying, it's not designed for PoE devices, it's not all copper, it's copper, aluminum clad, on the plus side I ran a system of 8 PoE cameras off this cable, every 1000 feet worked. I will not buy this product again.

Pros
  • Not only useful for intended purpose
Cons
  • Null

Better than the price.

Better than the price. Still not commercial but works fine for my DIY stuff. 15 years commercially active in the field of network installations. I've always loved my work. Now I do it for friends and family. This cable is cheap and does what it's supposed to do. The only issue I found was cut off pairs after removing the outer case.

DO NOT BUY! Best in Computer Accessories & Peripherals

Please do your research. Unfortunately I didn't and it cost me thousands. I've spent weeks (and thousands of dollars of work) running my business with this cable. It wasn't until we finished wiring that we realized we were getting 1-9 Mbps (and often no internet at all). We found something strange was going on with our Ethernet switches. After testing everything, we tried another brand of cable that we had. Of course - 300 Mbps (the actual speed of our Internet service). This cable is not as…

  • Not Sure

Excitement about this cable/price. But for smaller projects this is a great product for the price. I read negative reviews before making a purchase decision. The most common negative feedback I've seen has to do with difficulty distinguishing wire colors. In my experience, that's not a problem; Green and blue tones are clearly distinguishable. Also comments on kinking and binding. Again no problem; the cable slides freely from the spool. If you need a cable that requires certification, you may…

When you buy cheap CAT5 cable, you get cheap!

The Cat5e table that came in this box appears to bend and twist about every 5 to 10 feet. So I spend more time untangling cable kinks. I am not satisfied with the quality of this cable, if I had the opportunity to use it straight after purchase I would probably return it as a dissatisfied buyer of this product. The problem is that I ordered it a long time ago because I knew I had to renovate my house. I would have happily waited and bought the cable when I was ready to use it so I would see the
