It just messed up the contents of two hard drives

Don't buy! There is a disaster waiting in the wings! It works fine as long as you only use one hard drive at a time. I just need to copy from one disk to another. I used both hard drives separately on this docking station before placing both in it. Big mistake! Windows could not access both disks! One hard drive removed, still inaccessible. Tried other HDD, same thing. Run chkdsk, it reported that there are errors on both drives. After a chkdsk connection error, the contents of one drive was…

Damaged 2 of my hard drives

I have been using the product for about 7 months. The unbelievable happened yesterday. I had 2 hard drives in this docking station. I was transferring data from one of them to a separate external drive and in the middle of the transfer I got an error. The external hard drive I transferred to wasn't corrupt, but both hard drives that were in the dock are now corrupt and I'm trying to recover my data. When this happened, there was no activity on one of the drives, but it's still corrupt. DO NOT…

Wavlink offline clone

Instead of backing up my data, I clone only C drive. I bought Wavlink to clone my drive offline because Acronis stopped working. Cloning my 1TB Sata 6 hard drive to a 1TB Sata 3 hard drive took about 2 hours and 15 minutes. When I booted from the clone drive, Windows 10 Pro complained that something was wrong, fixed it, and then stopped booting. Later I cloned my C drive to a 1TB SATA 6 drive, which was a bit faster, 1 hour 50 minutes. When I booted up with this clone I got the same problem as…

Works but has some limitations

I bought this to replace a Sabrent that has stopped working for half of my hard drives. I could tell right away that this power cord was shorter. First, it was much shorter and I had to plug it into an extension cord. In addition, the plug is very large and not suitable for connecting to an extension cord. It also doesn't have an (inverter) which I think means it's smaller? My sub also had little buttons to press to eject the discs, it doesn't. You need to take out the discs. After all, you…

Works perfectly! best hard drive accessory

I was skeptical of anything that works after reading so many negative reviews of these devices in general. It had the most positive reviews so I bought it and I love it! I had to replace my laptop's hard drive with an SSD. This device cloned a 1TB drive while it was encrypted. I put a newly cloned SSD in a laptop and it worked great. The computer hiccuped when it first booted up, but I've had absolutely no problems since. The data was copied without problems. So, to easily create a standalone…

Good for copying and accessing hard drives

When I received this item I knew it would come in handy for my hard drives. Most of them are SATA. I was able to successfully copy one of these (without connecting to a computer). If you're not sure which is the source and which is the destination, you can remove one of the drives and look at the indicator rings on the front. Normally, a light source for the rear compartment is illuminated. The front compartment will be the target. It also comes in handy when accessing hard drives and checking…

Worked great for 4 months. NOT SUITABLE FOR APPLE/MAC PRODUCTS.

Worked great for 4 months then it turns on and appears to be on but doesn't show up on the computer. USB cable works on other devices but not on this one. Not very happy to be honest. When it worked I was very impressed but just decided to stop using it. Called support, tried everything I already did with them, they sent me another one and I returned the first one, fact is they sent me another version but it didn't work either. I call back, they give me direct contact information for a company…

Easy and Fast Disk Cloning, Data Transfer

I've been using a 'cable' or SATA to USB hard drive adapter for a while and have noticed that the cable reduces the speed, so it's about time to find a replacement and buy this one as a replacement. I am satisfied with the product quality, features and data transfer speed. Here are a few notes and points: This isn't a case or raid theme, so if you're looking for these features you probably need to look elsewhere. different. That being said, it's more intended for "temporary" or short-term use…

Hard drive damaged (Dual Docking Bay USB 3.0) now replaced!

This was a test to replace my 7 year old eSata BlacX single bay docking station. A known-good drive failed to mount completely and the blue light would not stop blinking. The USB 3.0 Dual Docking Bay was powered off before the drive was inserted and normal safe eject procedures were used. Tried a second USB 3.0 Type A cable rated at 12VDC on the adapter. I've searched for "damaged disc" many times in these Revain reviews. Wow! So; Reconnected old BlacX dock, restored disk/FAT permissions under…
