Unbelievable for the price!

I bought this monitor because I recently upgraded my CPU and GPU and wanted to take full advantage of their performance. I'm upgrading from a Dell E2414H monitor released in 2014 with a 24-inch TN 1080p panel, 5ms response time, 60Hz, 1000:1 contrast ratio and 250nit maximum brightness. I can honestly say that the AOC CQ27G1 is a huge improvement, but then again, my previous monitor is pretty good by today's standards. This monitor feels huge compared to the 24 inch monitor I had previously. I chose 2560x1440 27" for performance reasons, since I need a sharp image when editing spreadsheets in Excel, this monitor meets my expectations without any problems. When scrolling line by line in Excel, the image remains sharp and easy to read, I don't notice any blurring or other issues. I usually edit multiple spreadsheets at the same time. The extra size of this monitor makes it easy to edit side-by-side in most scenarios rather than two full-screen documents. For general browsing, document editing, etc., I lowered the screen brightness to 60-70 , as the maximum brightness is too bright even with the lights on. I don't do professional photo editing and I don't come across situations where color accuracy is very important, so I'll just say that the color looks great with some adjustments. The contrast looks how expected, fantastic looking for games is this monitor is a huge improvement over my previous one. Enabling FreeSync gives me a very smooth gaming experience, the 144Hz refresh rate helps a lot too. The AOC is marketed as 1ms MPRT and has a 4ms GTG response time according to DisplayNinja, it works great for me but may not be enough for serious competitive gamers playing PVP shooters. I don't notice any blurring or other issues when playing Destiny 2, Fallout 4 and other games. Games look fantastic with a contrast ratio of 3000:1 and very deep blacks. The stand and overall design looks excellent and looks very nice. I really can't think of a single complaint, no dead pixels, after tweaking the colors to my liking it looks amazing, the contrast is amazing, the refresh rate is superb. This is very good value for money, most other monitors with similar specs are well out of this price range. I would recommend downloading AOC G-Menu so you can edit picture settings from the desktop instead of using the buttons on the monitor. I would also recommend G-Menu over i-Menu as I prefer the G-Menu interface. Update: Warning, the buttons are cheap and really just plastic tabs permanently attached to the frame, covering the buttons inside the monitor. My power button (tab) broke and fell off. I can still turn the monitor on and off by pressing a button inside the case, but that's annoying as it's a fairly small button in a plastic frame that I have to access through a small hole in the occurred when the strap broke. This is an inexpensive manufacturing choice, but these tabs will break.
