Review of Samsung Galaxy A42 5G cell phone

The back cover of this phone is an attractive geometric masterpiece. It does not matter which version of Prism Dot you choose; The back of the phone is divided into four parts and its colors start from white, gray and black and as it goes up, the colors become brighter. Everywhere on the phone except the top of the phone, it has a dotted pattern and reflects light in the form of a rainbow, and many will love this design and colors.

With an attractive back cover, this is a traditional smart device: a large, flat screen on the front, a curved glossy bezel on the sides, and a sleek, curved plastic bezel on the back! This phone is made entirely of plastic, but it has good quality and does not make the user feel cheap.

The 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display is one of the biggest changes compared to the A41 and A40 models. This display is much larger and at the same time has a lower resolution (+ HD). The waterdrop is the same as the previous models and is actually the location of the selfie camera.

The screen has a narrow bezel, but the bottom edge of the screen is a bit unnatural for an OLED panel. Of course, since this phone is an affordable option, not much can be said about it. The fingerprint sensor is located below the screen and is hidden at the bottom of the screen. The speed of this scanner is good and relatively accurate, and we did not have any problems when using this sensor.

The back panel of the phone is slightly curved, and in addition to its interesting appearance, the camera module is the only thing to notice here. The camera includes a 48-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 5-megapixel macro lens and a 5-megapixel depth-sensing sensor. The LED flash is outside this square module and is placed outside it.

The camera module is slightly raised, but does not move the phone when placed on a table. The case of the phone is also slightly bent at the sides and may not be to the liking of many, as holding the phone for a long time may cause discomfort and pain, but the overall design of the phone is really good and we should not look at it harshly.

There is a SIM card slot on the left edge of the Galaxy A42 5G and a power and volume control button on the right. There is nothing on the top of the phone except the speaker microphone. The bottom edge hosts a 3.5mm audio jack, USB-C port, speaker and microphone.

Unfortunately, the sleek body of this phone is prone to fingerprints, grease and stains. Everything sticks to the A42 5G and gets dirty very quickly. The phone is easy to clean, but it is best to use a protective cover for the phone and its display.

While the first phone in the family, the A40, had a Gorilla Glass 3 protector, the A41 and A42 specifications do not mention the screen protector. It does not matter if the display has a gorilla guard or not, but it is definitely made of pressed heat glass and still it is better to use a screen protector for it.
