Great bag for a great price!

I suddenly needed a trunk when I decided to vacate our holiday home in order to professionally decorate and sell it. Since the home was used as a vacation rental at VRBO, a lot of extra laundry had to be brought in. That and the Rightline Cargo saddlebag brought home a lot of things. It's a simple but beautiful design that worked well on my SUV roof rack. It's listed as water-resistant, not waterproof, but with no rain, it was fine for a 450-mile ride. We have another Thule roof bag but we keep

  • Delivery was very quick

  • Only available in white

Works on cars with only 2 trunks

I use it for hiking (about 1-2 hours on the road) and it works very well. It hasn't worn at all, can hold an amazing amount of stuff and is easy to assemble/install on the car. I think I paid about $26 for it and I think it's great quality for the price. I believe the product description says four roof bars are required for fitting but I use these on my VW Jetta which has two horizontal bars (one front and one rear) and have had no problems with them. I just attach straps for side carriers to…

Just bought our second after 10 years of faithful service

We have had this roof rack for 10 years now. Survived so many journeys through the salt air of the Southeast Coast, the torrential rains of the Appalachian Mountains, the Blue Ridge and the Great Smoky Mountains, the cold of Vermont, the heat of the Arizona desert. He stuffed everything with 8 person luggage, years of packing and playing, sand toys, umbrellas, towels etc stuffed to the max. We finally replaced it this year because one of the straps finally snapped from very rough use. It's not…

Very important! in External Accessories

I had to get this at the last minute to fit for the hike. I wanted cheap but something that gets the job done and that fits the bill. This carrier costs $27 and ships for free. It was big, secure and contained everything I needed. I only have a front and rear roof rack but it wasn't difficult to install. As other reviewers have said, you only need to attach 4 straps on the front and 4 on the back. At 75 mph the car was stable and never had a problem. I have provided pictures of how I installed…

Stable, fits a lot, good price.

Description "Waterproof" is no joke - we put several suitcases in it (2 large duffel bags, one small and one large) and it was almost full - we heard. it's probably going to rain, so let's put things in big garbage bags first. It was a 2.5 hour drive and there were multiple downpours and one heavy downpour along the way. When we arrived the garbage bags were wet. So if you're using it and a rain forecast is on the way, be proactive and protect the contents with some plastic. The rack is solid…

Good fabric for infrequent use, big enough for two suitcases

Just used this for a long trip (350 miles) with a trunk full of luggage. I drove at speeds on the freeway - 70 miles per hour and sometimes more. It didn't rain because it was a hot August day. So I don't know anything about water resistance, although the fabric has an inner coating to keep out the rain. It fits two suitcases very comfortably, but there could have been more space. However, I would have liked the straps to be tighter. They look flimsy with eight poor quality fasteners and it…

Used it for camping this weekend! So many places!

Now that we're planning a lot more hikes this year, we're struggling with blankets that take up SO MUCH space in our big SUV. We have a Ford Explorer with plenty of room in the back, but we couldn't fit everything that led us to this purchase. As you can see in the photos with my dog who loves to model how big a real bag is. We stuffed a bag with a tent and at least 5 blankets, thicker blankets, pillows and sleeping bags. They fit tight and close well. It's a little tricky to assemble with all…

Excellent luggage rack for the price

I used it on a recent camping trip. Attached it to the top of my Hyundai Santa Fe which only has 2 side bars. For 15cu. ft. he can swallow 3 camp chairs, 4 sleeping bags and 2 queen size air mattresses. I routed high strength nylon cable between the 2 roof rails to create 2 more anchor points that run between the rails. So it was attached to two rails at the front and back and wrapped around the rope strands on the left and right. PROS: I stuffed it pretty full, almost to the limit, and the…
