Great for beginner welders

I bought this as a beginner home welder. I was looking for a functional 240 V device from a well-known manufacturer at a price that wasn't too high. So far this has met my needs for working on 16 ga FCAW projects. up to 1/4 inch mild steel. It's not light, but seems durable. It's slightly larger than some cheaper or reviewed units so make sure it fits on your cart or stand and has room to open the side panel for a coil change - that was the problem for me (my oversight, not a product defect)…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Great welder! Enough amps for welding.

I used to have a 115v Hobart Handler. O baby! Great welder! Plenty of amps for welding almost all general needs. I have a small farm and sometimes need to weld heavier items and this will get the job done. Uses the MIG setting and it gives a fine, excellent bead for 1/4" penetration (solid wire MIG .030, 230v, single phase) and it doesn't scroll all the way through or uses .035 wire. Very happy with the welder. However it's not easy I recommend buying a trolley I got the welding cabinet from HF

i love you hobart I mean that.

I'm in love. Of course I am. I've researched up, down and sideways and compared it to the MigMax 215 Cargo Port which also has great reviews. For another $200 on a Hobart, you get an American-made welder with affordable parts and a REAL warranty. This unit is essentially a Miller. Some parts even have Miller's stamp. I build commercial pressure washer trailers a few times a year and have used a Lincoln 120. He'll blow that welder's socks off at 120V and Shazam. This one is doubly good at 240V…

WOW GREAT WELDER - Welding and Brazing

I've had a Hobart Handler 140 for a couple of years and it was a great machine. I decided I wanted more power after looking at the 210 MVP. It has fantastic, well-deserved reviews, so my decision was easy. I sold my 140 to pay for 210 and ordered 210. The delivery took 9 days even though it was the first delivery. I installed and tested it with .030 flux wire. I have worked a lot with 110 and 220 volts. By far the best welder I've ever used! Supple but powerful Ark, this thing means business…

Great product and ease of use is top notch.

I would give this review 5 stars but my car had a problem with the gun (hood is kinked). Ordered a new case. I have used this machine before and it was amazing. Dueling tension, lots of power, good physique. I don't want to return what I bought but there is no way to replace the case without replacing the element so I have to spend $30 to fix it. I have used this product with and without gas, it works great. The only product improvement I could suggest is to somehow engage the spool holder with

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons

Reliable and productive machine for less money

When the machine was first introduced it should have come with a 100 reel seat, the reel was not supplied. I called Revain who offered to return the product and they will send the correct product. I politely explained that in terms of delivery this would be quite wasteful. After consultation with his manager, the agent was able to credit me for the amount of the roll, which I could then order. Despite the initial confusion, it was a pleasant experience. For the record, I have been a…

Most likely, this is the welder you need.

Like most people I wanted to bond metal so needed I own a welder but I spent a lot of time looking at MIG welders and various multiprocessor welders like the Forney 190 before I bought the 190 but I already have an arc welder which I rarely use and is the only reason why I need a TIG is aluminum welding, this welder can easily weld aluminum with a $200 accessory coil and can make some powerful welds when connected to mains power up to 230v and those welds are literally the first welds made with

Pros
  • The machine is sized for easy transport to the job site and has the power to weld 3/8" mild steel.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Reliable, Productive Machine for Less

When the machine first went on sale it was supposed to come with a 100 bobbin holder I have a Revain called who offered to return the product and they will send the correct product.I politely explained that this would be quite wasteful in terms of delivery. After checking with his manager the agent was able to credit me for the amount of the role I had was able to order afterwards. Despite the initial confusion, it was a pleasant experience. For the record, I have been a professional welder for…

Excellent turnkey solution

I usually weld aluminum with TIG, but I wanted to weld thicker/larger parts faster. Aluminum MIG welding requires spray transfer and 200A is the lower limit for thicker parts. The Hobart 210 MVP with the optional SpoolRunner 100 gun welds 1/4" aluminum at lightning speed! I can weld 1/4 times faster than TIG. Doesn't look like a stack of dimes, but it gives nice, smooth, full penetration welds. The MVP 110/220v capability also makes it a good light cored welder (although it weighs 75 pounds so…
