global decentralized supercomputing network

Golem aims to become a global decentralized supercomputing network, with people from all over the world using GNT tokens in its network. Users choose the type of task they have with the Golem task definition framework to match the most appropriate provider. Vendors can decide how many CPU cores and how much RAM and disk space they want to rent to the Golem network.

Pros
  • Designed to facilitate the creation of a global and decentralized supercomputer, allowing anyone to safely buy and sell excess computing power with GNT tokens.
  • It offers a much faster and more cost-effective way to process computer-generated images.
  • Golem will be able to facilitate the encryption, decryption and mining of cryptocurrencies.
  • Businesses, researchers, and others can benefit from being able to access a large amount of additional computing power on demand.
  • Golem can run countless decentralized and profitable microservices while offering its other benefits.
Cons
  • Even the project takes time for it to exploit its full potential, which will take time.

Decentralized global platform for microservices.

Some benefits we should know before investing. The two parties to the network are the requestor and the supplier. The requester asked for strength to perform his work. If his work does not fit the given task template, Third Edition Stone will allow him to write his own code using the Task Definition Framework. On the other hand, the provider chooses between task offers considering the reputation of broadcast nodes. The requester re-examines his reputation after the supplier chooses him and…

Pros
  • Each machine connected to the network does not replicate its calculations. They are always expanding in both reach and technical support. This is not a price savings like Bitcoin. Rather, the fuel that will strengthen transactions on computers worldwide will actually democratize the processing power.
Cons
  • If you believe in the crypto industry, it currently seems a healthy lucrative option in the long run.

First of all, in fact Golem is one of the few Dapps out there in the blockchain universe, which are already usable and able to deliver a real value. Secondly, once the setup is done and obstacles mentioned above passed, the Golem-client and its interface is pretty intuitive and user friendly. And most importantly — the process of rendering a file actually works. If you are facing any problems during the whole process, a sound community on Reddit and the Golem chat are eager to help out. It is…

Pros
  • The Golem Project is a distributed supercomputer. Instead of relying on a centralised server farm, Golem distributes the computational load to a crowd of so called “Providers” . Meaning you and me can rent out their spare computing power in exchange for GNT Tokens. If you think about it, there is probably a lot of time where your computer is just idle, and since you already paid for it that is untapped potential. So Golem is doing to computing time what AirBnB did to flats.
Cons
  • The Golem team presents insights on their decision making process in a very transparent way, stating that in the whole ecosystem there is a shortage of devs which forces them to prioritize between delivering better and more advance software and features, or to put the team through the big task that would be switching blockchains — and researching a new alternative. At this stage Golem made its decision to rely on Ethereum and leaving it to them to tackle the issues on payments fees, scaling etc. in the future.

Golem is a decentralized supercomputer project. The objective is to create a global market (purchases / sales) of computing power. Golem connects computers on a peer-to-peer network to each other to allow users to lease computing power to other users. There is therefore a machine resource supplier on the one hand and a requester on the other. These resources can be used to perform tasks requiring significant time and computational capacity. Golem also offers flexible tools to help…

Pros
  • The advantage of this kind of supercomputer is that the computer park will naturally evolve according to the latest technologies (by the natural replacement of older machines by recent ones). No risk of obsolescence, as with centralized supercomputers that must be maintained and updated, then replaced.
  • the blockchain which makes it possible to combine the power of all computers and then remunerate the suppliers.
  • The Golem project responds to real demand on the market. More and more companies are looking for new IT resources to solve complex problems. There are so many pressing issues that remain unresolved at this time. We need computing power to solve it.
Cons
  • Even if competition in the cryptosphere is not very important, on the "physical" market Golem will have to face cloud computing behemoths like Miscosoft or Amazon. These companies are already very well established in this field of activity. For a team like Golem's, this remains a major challenge.

Hey, hey heey

- They want to create a global network of computing power. Where you can sell your computing power to other people. When you have good pc, but you are not using your power fully you can sell some of your computing power it the other people. Wsm - it's a sandbox where you can launch applications. if you are develepor and you want to make an application on golem you can do it here. RASPA - it's like the system in a system where you can work without the aspect of your system

Pros
  • Partners and team + already can download applications
Cons
  • most propably bots on reddit atd...

In general, Golem has a product that works and is still under development, which allows all the video producers in the world to be interconnected to offer their services, and that the editing and creation be quick, in this sense lower production prices, and all this thanks to the de-centralization of your network that is already active and you can try to use it, know its characteristics. Theoretically, the Golem network can do whatever a computer does, simply looking for everyone to have access

Pros
  • The main pillar of this project is the functionality, uses and advances in its technology, this makes the team behind this megastructure more focused on the real and what once and for all attacks your system, providing tangible solutions It makes it very tempting in the future. With the golem network, any user can lend their computer resources for projects that need these requirements in exchange for money, remembering that Golem is a super network of all the interconnected computers. Your token is easy to use since it is within the etherium ERC20 environment, practically compatible with almost all used exchanges. Being an etherium contract, in this sense it was created so that developers can search and create their own Golem plications. It can be obtained in most important exchanges such as bincance, which creates credibility of the final product, in this sense the people behind this amazing and innovative program.
Cons
  • One of the big problems of this project is to reach the people who need it and make them believe in them, because they attack a market that goes beyond cryptography, as it is known it attacks a real problem and gives solutions so that more people can be at the forefront of technological advances. The end of golem depends on technological progress, but many of these are still in development and do not even exist. The technical aspects of your network make you doubt whether it will really be efficient and accessible to the public.

A Supercomputer at Your Service - Golem

When you think about Golem from the perspective of a massive worldwide supercomputer, then you can see the value and reason for excitement behind the project. Think about it from a futuristic point of view. It might seem like science fiction (or something straight out of the Terminator movies), where all the world’s computers work together. They would all form an interconnected network which would have the ability to access enormous amounts of processing power. Remember, however, that…

Pros
  • Gives users the opportunity to see their investment grow without third-party intervention.
  • Investors and traders can operate anonymously within the Golem network. With centralized institutions, your details and information are known by everyone within the network. This is different from Golem since its encrypted, which means your information is protected.
  • Earn GNT by renting out your unused computer resources. This is one of the main reasons many users are joining the GOlem network. You’ll earn payouts of GNT without needing to get into the complex algorithms and consensus models that many blockchain projects use. These include Proof of Work (PoW) and Proof of Stake (PoS) among others.
  • Golem’s team works hard to provide new features that make the project more reliable, effective and appealing to both users and investors. The team is committed to improving the system so that it can be a platform that many see as an opportunity for growth and advancement.
Cons
  • Many countries are passing regulations that directly impact cryptocurrencies and digital tokens. These types of laws and regulations can suppress the value of certain cryptocurrencies, and GNT will be no exception.
  • The Golem team does not work very quickly. The project has already missed several target dates and does not market itself very well to those outside of the industry. If a stronger competitor emerges, Golem could be easily moved aside.
  • Since Golem resides on the Ethereum blockchain, it can be directly impacted by the performance of Ethereum. This is different than other coins that rely solely on Bitcoin, which are completely independent. If a change occurs with Ethereum, more than likely GNT will have a similar experience.

Future releases of Golem will bring major improvements to the protocol in terms of its flexibility and robustness. In order to expand the user base we are already in the process of integrating a variety of new use cases to Golem in cooperation with our business and technological partners.

Pros
  • The project has become more stable after they launched the Beta. Golem utilizes an Ethereum-based transaction system to settle payments between providers, requestors and software developers. All computations take place in sandbox environments and are fully isolated from the hosts’ systems.
Cons
  • Nothing much cons for me almost perfect even the team.

Golem project is a decentralized supercomputer that is distributed and can be accessed by anyone. Golem wallet offers you a platform to store private and public keys and allows you to interact with Golem blockchain enabling you to send and receive payments from other users. A wallet expedites the transfer of Golem while it gives ownership of the remaining digital coins to the user. The wallet is available in numerous forms including mobile, desktop, web and hardware wallets.

Pros
  • Golem specifics: - performing blender CGI rendering; - used in distributed computing power; - offers a substitute for the irreconcilable difference between inflated cloud-based rendering services and waiting age. Team consists of dedicated programmers and engineers who have vast experience in P2P platform and blockchain technology. Golem can have different and important uses: - computer graphics: Due to its superfast speed, Golem can be used to distribute the task of rendering CGI within a few minutes at a cheaper rate; - business and analysis: brass Golem is used to speed up business computation in stock market predictions and big data analysis at a lower cost; - machine learning: Golem can be used in expediting the process when teaching AI to beat grandmasters, recognize the human voice or recognize different images; - science: the field of science can take advantage of those low cost and easy access to a powerful supercomputer. The technology plays a vital role in the analysis of DNA and simulating protein folding; - cryptography: it can run the globe’s first and biggest fully decentralized cryptocurrency mining pools. Additionally, GNT crypto makes the cryptography to work like integer factorization; - microservices: the golem app registry can run different kinds of decentralized micro-services and apps that everyone can create and share an income if they want; - micropayments: golem network uses a superfast technology that comes with a secure money transfer systems used to make a micropayment. Golem provides a streamlined pathway where currencies all over the globe and users can make some micropayments for different transactions; - computing power: Golem network allows users to give out their cycles to other user’s machines. Any user with a single PC or huge data center is allowed to share the resources to the network. For the reason that there are numerous software developers who are in the center of Golem’s ecosystem, both the app registry and transaction framework will enable you to deploy and disperse resources to Golem network. It is possible to buy GNT on the most important exchanges (Bittrex, Binance, Cryptopia, etc..).
Cons
  • Golem is in its initial stages so there is a lot of work to do. Unlike other coins, Golem cannot be mined because of its pre-developed restrictive properties. However, the developer can obtain the GNT tokens through a pre-mining process that allows users to share coins amongst themselves. Mining Golem depends on what you are using the computer for.

Golem is an Ethereum based cryptocurrency that was created to allow sharing computing power via the Ethereum network. Everyone has access to the GNT network to do graphical rendering, data analysis etc. with reduced costs. Also everyone with computing hardware can participate with Golem and rent out their resources for an automated income. All in one I think GNT has the potential to grow much larger than it already has. The use case of this project is phenomenal and only needs to slowly move in

Pros
  • You get rewarded for renting out computing power
Cons
  • strong competitor (SONM,SIA..)
Only alpha version at the moment
 No mining available

Great prospects

Great prospects

Pros
  • great prospects for the future. rent decentralized capacity is a great idea and now it is only developing
Cons
  • I do not know minuses

Still needs more efforts, both in design and development progress. The direction is right, and quite ahead of situation. When decentralized storage matures, decentralized computation will be the spotlight. Golem has advantages, but still face challenges.

Pros
  • 1, Large group team, and hard-working through number of commits in github; 2, Decentralized computing is the future, the direction is right; 3, Target at compute-intensive task at first, which is right for phase-1.
Cons
  • 1, the decentralized computation solutions are not well addressed, like how to solve data-intensive computation? which is a large part of AI computing and big data analysis; 2, progress seems a bit late, blockchain community evolves fast, it seems takes one year or more to finish compute-intensive task.

Only when we know more about the ether workshop and the intelligent contract, we can build the idea of Golem. "Then we realize that you can use this blockchain layer and logic, and an intelligent contract gives you a system like Golem. Golem recently announced that it began using its own Golem network token (GNT) to launch a public project from November 11th. Compared with other block chain tokens, GNT is important for giving flexibility and control to projects, and adds that the plan is able…

Pros
  • Enter the ether workshop, this is a public block chain platform, can realize "intelligent contract". An agreement that can verify or improve the performance of a contract. This makes the backbone of Golem, and the transaction system based on Ethernet can eliminate the payment between providers, requesters and software developers, and it is also good for developing applications on platforms, rather than other block chains such as bitcoins.
Cons
  • No opinion

https://golem.network/ Like in the days of yore, donate your machines computing power to help people do creative things - art / movies / music / and soon things like machine learning and scientific computing.

Pros
  • Sharing pc power to help others. What's not to love?
Cons
  • If you want to play, you sorta have to know how to read sheet music. There is some coding / configuring / typing commands to make your machine do things so the app will be there and then run. Being a non-technically savvy tech person, this is not my legerdemain, but many users will find this concept useful.
