UCL entrepreneur is an incubator company that provides 12 month long mentorship and make available as much as £25000 for startups with no equity.

The company is also flexible as regards the sectors it prefers. It is opened to ideas from any sectoras long as the idea is promising and viable. It must also fill a gap that is not only academic but also marketable.

The application procedure is quite different from what is obtainable with some othe accelerator where any one can simply fill the application form. In UCL, all intending applicants must first be assessed by a business advisor who will then determine whether the project or idea is promising, has financial prospect or it is not. If it is, the applicant will have to apply through the advisor and yet have to pass through other screening phase to determine the suitability.

Mentorship in UCL captures student, researchers and it opens them to workshops and seminars which will give them entrepreneurship mindset.

By carrying along students and academia, UCL has successfully helped in bringing to market many products of academic research from different field of studies like neuro Neuroscience, computer science, agriculture and much more.
