I'll be packing for moving out of the house I've lived in for the last 25 years. I have many Akro-Mils storage containers that are almost 40 years old. They are in good condition and have been heavily used and sometimes mistreated. (People stand on them, don't get ladders.) So when I needed taller containers, I turned to this company for taller containers. I see that the places where I have cracks from abuse have hardened these new ones.

These containers are made of high-impact plastic and can withstand almost any rough treatment. At 17 inches tall and 21 inches long, they're capable of handling many larger household items that wouldn't even fit in a regular sized paper box. they are resistant to mold and moisture (unlike cardboard boxes) and can be closed with cable ties. Several people have recommended this product to me as "very strong and durable". As tough as it looks, I have to say I'm disappointed. I'll still use what I have, but let me explain. Almost every tub brought in was broken in one way or another. Not so broken that it can't be used effectively, but still broken. Each had parts of the lid torn off. Just have to say they are a lot heavier than I'm used to. Maybe twice as heavy, the plastic is much thicker. I got it yesterday and for the price it's a very good deal. 3 for 36 with free shipping is cool as they sell 20+ pieces on Uline with no shipping. It's not the same brand. I bought these to stack in hopes of solving the problem I was having with the ones you can buy at most local stores. (Sterilite, Hefty) They all come in different strength classes, of course, and the heavier ones go up in price significantly when you find them on the market.
