Good quality airsoft

good quality nylon good color and durable. Not as heavy as I expected but it has good bungee loops so I can give it whatever weight I want. Warning; The weights are rusting away. Fits well and is adjustable for different helmet sizes

Must have running NODs.

Required if you use NOD! Just get velcro straps that can be removed when not working with the attached optic. This helps reduce helmet stress and neck fatigue after a helmet. It includes several small metal weights to increase or decrease the weight as needed. For your health!

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Not for real use. good for airsoft

I knew I would get cheaper if I bought this instead of something from TNVC or a similar company but I figured I could replace the steel weights with lead fishing weights and it would be fine . The mass of steel is not enough to balance a pair of PVA-14. I approach with lead weights. My advice: don't be stingy and buy a real counterweight if you're going to use it for anything other than a battery box.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Modern

Balances my PVS-14 and has room for extra batteries.

I love this counterweight. It is quite compact and attaches very securely to the helmet thanks to its sturdy construction and Velcro. In addition to the weights that come with the kit, I wanted to pack a few extra batteries in my bag for my PVS-14 and Inforce flashlight. I managed to weight four AAs and four C123s. It balances my night vision quite well and takes a lot of strain off my neck. I've heard the weights rust, so I'm going to spray them with some kind of sealant to keep that from…

Pros
  • Excellent design

Works great with a little help

This counterweight is just great. It has a pretty simple purpose: to keep the weight on the back of the helmet. He's doing great. The construction seems good and balances my PVS14 perfectly on my Wendy team helmet. The only problem I noticed was that the weights in the bag were bare metal and were beginning to rust. I removed them, cleaned the bag and applied three coats of Rustoleum to the weights. I would advise anyone purchasing this product to spray or coat loads immediately to prevent…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Reliable counterbalance system with some caveats.

This counterbalance system is very effective for balancing the PVS14 kit or similar monocular setup. The weights are steel, not tungsten or lead. I don't recommend them for heavier NODs like a binocular setup. For something heavier you can add a Ziploc bag of lead fishing weights to replace or supplement the included weights. Note that they use existing screws to hold your rails in place on the FAST helmet. Many helmets use screws that are not long enough to mount this accessory, so you may…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No power
