The old style had a handle that fitted into the top and could be easily removed while still attached to the fridge. In this case, the handle has to fit in a small compartment below and it is not very easy to insert or remove it without taking it out of the fridge. Before that I had two boogie boards that lasted about a year each which was acceptable to me. I benefited a lot from this as I had a laryngectomy and sometimes I can't speak. I bought this boogie board which arrived last week. I immediately noticed that it's built a lot cheaper compared to my previous devices. It started to falter on the first day and stopped completely on the second day. I have just received an email asking me to contact the company by clicking on the link if I am unsatisfied.

This item doesn't even deserve one star. It's terrible. We had to replace it twice and it broke after about two months of use. My daughter took good care of him and was very upset when he stopped working. The Delete button did not delete. We have discontinued this product and will not be buying it again. Works. Compared to the original (not Jot but Original Original) I'd say worse.* Yes, the screen is brighter, but the viewing angle seems narrower. So it gets dark quicker depending on how it's tilted or where you are. * The pen holder is pretty bad. It's really hard to remove. When the board is lying on a surface (wall, table, etc.) it's almost impossible to get it out (unless you tie a rope to a sling to get it out, like I did). Although they are said to come with a one year warranty, my emails to the company have NOT been answered and it has been more than two weeks. My 4 year old son with autism has never been interested in drawing with colored pencils and he enjoys drawing with pencils on paper but becomes very aggressive and doesn't stay paper on it. There are drawing apps for the iPad, but if he has an iPad (which he loves), he's watching YouTube Kids instead of drawing with his finger.
