This device can be confused with a higher quality device that actually advertises itself as "animal immune". When you buy this from Revain it says "pets allowed" in the description, but when you receive it there's no actual documentation of the feature. There is a more expensive version that is actually immune to pets. So I have no idea what "pets allowed" means, but it's not a true pet immunity sensor.

Replaced what I think is a 20 year old Bosch motion detector with an old ADT Safewatch Pro 3000 system. I was never able to separate the back from the front and destroyed it trying to remove it from the wall. This is a 4 wire system that can be easily hooked up to a new detector. I won't be there when it's time to change this one if it's taking as long as the previous one.

I am using Amcrest cameras with Blue Iris software and everything about this setup is great except for the false positives. I've spent many hours in the Blue Iris configuration screens trying to find the middle ground where it detects legitimate motion but doesn't cause false alarms due to clouds, shadows, bugs, etc. This simple PIR eliminates all these inconveniences.
