this is cheap junk. The best home accessories

I give this item 0 stars, it got 1 because it needs to be rated. It's cheap junk. Yesterday I used it for the first time with citronella oil. The coating around the top of the lantern had melted, clogging all the vents. The lid cracked, the glass was so smoky that the flame couldn't be seen. there's no point in throwing it in the trash.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Almost everything is

Black lamp best in Oil Lamps & Accessories

This is a decent oil lamp. It's rustic and reminiscent of the old days. What surprised me is how small it is compared to the other two (less expensive) glass flasks I have. I thought it would be bigger. Also, the lighting is a bit clunky compared to the cheaper ones where you just detach the storm lamp and light it up. But if you buy this lamp, don't buy it so much for its looks as for its practicality.

  • Nice to use

Excellent lantern in home decoration products

I like this lantern, very durable, easy to carry, little heat. I like flame lanterns over LED lanterns because the flame attracts fewer bugs around the campsite. It holds quite a bit of oil for long burn hours, but I highly recommend getting a few extra wicks or higher quality wicks. The included wick is very cheap and burns out completely in about 3-4 hours. Great flashlight for the price, it doesn't get any better!

perfect for summer nights

i love this lantern i have some big ones and this one is good for deck and small hands. I think it teaches kids safety and it's fun. bright and shiny, it looks really amazing. a bit of citranella, and it does double the work on a summer evening. Fighter against light and insects. You can't be wrong. :: Note when buying from Amazon they are offering 3/4" wicks which is not correct, 1/2 is what it uses. Shipping was good not particularly fast but well packaged and in perfect condition.

Cheap replica in oil lamps

This lantern works but it's not the real deal. This is a replica of the lanterns that were widely used in the past and are still used today as hurricane lanterns. The one I bought was a little dented and as I started to bend the glass ball holding the mount I realized how fragile the thing was. It may be worth the $16 I paid for it, but it's not worth a penny more. I don't see the thing for everyday use. I give three stars, it's ok.

Pros
  • New in my collection
Cons
  • Long time

You get what you paid for

I really like these little lamps. I bought four of these to set our outside Thanksgiving table last year and they were a hit! I also used them on St. Patrick's Day this year and we lit them to keep the bugs away. As with any flashlight, be careful not to knock them over with the oil inside, whether they are lit or not. They haven't done that much work to keep the bugs out, but these are really nice looking lamps and I think 'looks' is their main goal for the price. A friend on St. Patrick's Day

Absolutely terrible

These bulbs are made in China and not worth half the price. I bought eight for outdoor use on the patio in the summer. Two of them leaked like a sieve once full and flammable oil dripped onto my deck. The metal is so poorly matched that there are gaps between the base and the mounts that support the glass and top and the oil drips and drips. Of course, once they were filled with a flammable substance (which dripped all over the outside of the lamp) they couldn't be returned, so I ended up…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • dim
