Clairol Root Touchup is a fantastic and reliable product BUT I want to warn you about a few things. #1) This is for ONE BOX of the product and this price (currently 10.99) is ridiculous. It costs $8.49 from CVS at its highest price and is often discounted. I thought that was the price for TWO. #2) You cannot return this item and they will not warn you about it. #3) This particular product (or now maybe the entire Clairol product, not sure) is thicker in the tube than the old product. The price is outrageous for a box. Yes like other reviewers I received one box not two which made the price ridiculous. I will send it back but still have to do it due to false advertising.

I've never used this but wow it works. I had a problem with my hair appointment and had to go a few weeks longer than usual. I was worried about my gray roots because I had an important meeting. It meets all requirements PERFECTLY. Super easy, covered the gray like a charm for these few weeks. I ended up buying a few more boxes to have on hand! Highly recommended.

This was my choice to freshen up the roots. They seem to have changed the formula with some packaging changes because it used to work great. Well, the last three times I've used it, it's worked terribly. I didn't want to give it up because it was so good in the past. Gray hair is not covered at all. I even left it on longer as the instructions suggested. Save your money :(

I found two packs of this root touch up worked better on stubborn gray than any box of full head product. I combine both boxes, cover the roots with the included brush, then dip my gloved fingers into the remaining product and run my fingertips under my hair to cover the roots that I may have missed. I leave it on for 35 minutes and my stylist always notices how well I work with color. I don't understand why this works better, but it works!

I have short hair and that's fine. I found that a regular box of dye is too much for my hair so I always have plenty left over. I buy 2 boxes of these at 5R and 6 and mix them together in a pudding bowl. It's about 4-5 tablespoons which is enough for my hair. The great thing is that I only leave it on for 20 minutes instead of the 40-45 minutes a regular paint box takes. I get all sorts of compliments on my hair!

I've really fallen in love with the light chocolate color and it's hard to find locally - so glad Revain wears it. As for gray coverage, I have been using this product for many years and it has served me well. I leave it on for about 20-25 minutes because I have stubborn gray hair. I find the price unreasonably high for the amount of product you get - I always need at least 2 boxes.

There was only one! Not as advertised. Seller's contact information is not provided. Paid for two, only got one. Clairol noted in the instructions that the reason the activation cream was enlarged was a problem with the supplier and apologized. But nowhere on the box did it say there was more than one treatment. Just paid too much for this product!

The last TWO times I opened the box the white activation liquid was almost gone. I mean a very small amount. I thought this can't happen twice! Now I've searched and see other reviewers with the same problem. I'm so angry because I was willing to use it and then it happened. again. I've been using this for years and the white liquid has ALWAYS been fuller than this. Maybe not 100%, but at least 75%. It was I would say 20% full or less. Ridiculous!
