Works EXCELLENT for what it's designed for

Works great as a 2m short wand for short range communications with low power consumption. We also often use them as a simple electromagnetic sensor in the workshop. Terrible for long distance work, but most who buy one of these for this type of thing should already understand the size limitations. Looks very high quality. I have several.

Pros
  • Fixed CB Radios
Cons
  • Minor issues

Perfect fit for Uniden BCD436HP

Great upgrade for my Uniden handheld scanner and the SMA connector means you get rid of the extra BNC adapter. I do a lot of scanner work in and out of the car, and the stock antenna just made the radio too bulky to carry around or wear on my belt. As others have said, this is an all-metal antenna with a professional finish, made in Japan by an electronics company. I can't speak to reception because I'm monitoring a P25 800mhz system in a town full of repeaters, so it's still clear.

Pros
  • CB and Radio
Cons
  • Some little things

Fits flush with Yaesu and looks great. I can easily hit a 70cm repeater at 24 miles on 1w. The repeater is at 5,000 feet, so it's in line of sight. Looks like a very good dead end. I was going to use the Retech RHA601 as I use it on my Baofeng but didn't because it was out of stock at the time. The…
