Great idea but poorly executed. Once you put a few pins in the pockets, it doesn't close as intended. In addition, the elastic closure that holds it to the laptop can easily be opened by itself.

I know this thing was meant to be used with pencils but I bought it to hold my brushes in. She works great. It keeps them in place so they don't bounce around and I worry about the bristles. The color on the painting is only for emphasis of the picture spot and for scaling; I don't paint here.

This pen holder is great for storing my pens and I can easily toss it in my bag without worrying about breaking the pen nibs (that flap is handy). I took off a star because the velcro doesn't hold up unless you use extra thin pins. A small design flaw. A lace tie would have been better to be honest.

AWESOME GRAPHITE PENCILS HOLDER FOR THE ARTIST! I bought this to store my graphite drawing pencil set which includes 7 pencils, pencil sharpener, putty eraser and regular eraser. On the left are my 6b, 4b, 2b, b, h, 2h, 4h pencils and on the right are 2 erasers and a small sharpener. with all my other stuff. Many other pen holders are designed for 24 pens and more, which is too big for a graphite set. Anyone have better recommendations?

My wife and I use these pencil cases to store pencils/underlining/highlighting tools for our Bibles. We wanted something simple and comfortable, but not ugly. I used a bag protector so this was like an upgrade! The bag easily folds in half with twelve pins. With twelve pens and two ballpoint pens, it's a bit more difficult, but it's still doable. You can move the pen tip up or down; it does not matter. I insert my tip up so the tips can move and not break when in a pocket or bag as they would be with the tip down. After reading the reviews I was a little hesitant to buy this but the nice low price made me take a chance. I have read a number of books and love highlighting and taking notes.
