PERFECT HAT! The speaker is pretty big.

Works very well as an RPi HAT, but the speakers were too big for my use case. They measure approximately 100mm x 44.5mm x 21mm (L x W x D), which is quite large compared to the average Pi! Luckily I was able to use the screw terminals to connect another salvaged speaker from another device.

Pros
  • USB Audio Codec USB Sound Card for Jetson Nano Developer Kit B01 4GB Jetson Nano 2GB Developer Kit Compatible with Multiple Systems.
Cons
  • Can be damaged

Simple and good USB audio alternative for Pi Zero

I originally got this because I had problems with the Pi's USB data port Zero had. So far this works great, you just have to pay attention to the GPIO pins used and their schematics are well documented.

Pros
  • Contains SSS1629 audio chip, uses USB bus, no drivers, plug and play
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Pros
  • Standard 3.5mm audio jack for headphones.
Cons
  • Not bad

A Simple and Good USB Audio Alternative for Pi Zero

I found this out first as I had constant problems with the Pi Zero's USB data port dropping out. So far this works great, you just have to pay attention to the GPIO pins used and their schematics are well documented.
