SUPPORT AND STRENGTH - Treat injured and fractured limbs with this lightweight and flexible splint. CONVENIENT SIZE - Flat splints are easy to store and transport. The unfolded split measures 4.25 x 24", but when folded it is only 4.25” x 6” and can easily be stored in backpacks, first aid kits, or vehicles. SUPERIOR ALUMINUM INTERIOR - The aluminum core housed between the outer foam shell is substantially lighter and more flexible than other plaster or fiberglass splits, and is also radiolucent, allowing Xrays to be performed without having to remove the splint. Works as expected - First Aid Kits

I received two of these for my first aid kit after completing the WFA course. The next time I went camping, I encountered a hiker with a broken ankle and used a splint to stabilize the ankle until the RAT could fix the hiker and get him to the hospital.

Pros
  • EXCELLENT ALUMINUM INTERIOR - The aluminum core sandwiched between the foam outer shell is significantly lighter and more flexible than other plaster or fiberglass splits and is also radiolucent allowing X-rays to be taken without removing the cover need rail . .
Cons
  • Small Parts

Great rail. best in first aid kits

I am an Emergency Medical Officer and Medical Director in South Africa. They have the same functionality as the more expensive "SAM" bus, but at a lower price. Make sure you select the length (24" or 36") and packaging (rolled or flat) that best suits your intended application.

Pros
  • EASY TO CUT AND SHAPE - The incision is easily cut with scissors or scissors, allowing the incision to be used on small body parts or complex injuries.
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Great in Healthcare

Yes I thought it might be too much to put in my IFAK until I banged my ankle while crossing some rocks and REALLY needed it (can be quite cut and shaped). Purpose, affordable and exactly as pictured and description saved my bacon on this trip

Pros
  • SUPPORT AND STRENGTH. Treat injured and broken limbs with this lightweight and flexible splint.
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
