Description of πŸ”§ Long-Necked Universal Heavy-Duty Spare Tire Carrier by Extreme Max 3005.5512

Long-necked design allows the spare tire to sit higher on the trailer tongue, giving it more ground clearance that is especially helpful in applications with larger spare tires or lower profile trailer deign where clearance may become an issue. Fits any tire 13" and larger with mounting patterns from 4-hole to 8-hole. Slotted carrier plate and carriage bolt lugs let you place the tire where you want it for a truly universal fit. Sleek black powder coat finish to resist rust and corrosion. Weight Capacity: 120 lbs.

Good product. Delivered within 48 hours

I had to buy new equipment because my van's bumper is 4" x 4". But with 6 inch long 1/2 bolts and locknuts, the spare tire doesn't go anywhere without the back half of the trailer. My only issue is that the wheel bolts are a bit longer so my 4-way mount isn't deep enough to hold the wheel bolts tight.

solid product in spare tire racks

This is definitely a solid rack and I love that it fits on the 6 stud tires. I would give it 5 stars but I can't understand why they include 4.5" screws. The description says up to a 3.5" bumper, but I suspect most of the target market is RVs with 4x4 bumpers. I had to pay an extra $10 for 5.5" bolts and lock washers, but other than that it looks like a decent holder.

Buy extra 5 inch screws!

Seems to be much more durable than the cheap one that came with my motorhome but. If you need something this strong, chances are your trailer bumper or frame is much larger than the 3.5" maximum frame capacity that standard bolts allow. Buy some 1/2 5" hex head bolts with washers and nuts at a hardware store. Drill 1/2 to widen the holes, just tap and install. I swapped my 15" spare wheel for a 20 -inch wheel and replaced a full size tire. to fit other wheels (yes my camper has big tires for…
