Comfortable and functional

My Garmin watch has an app that converts distance and heart rate into a suffering score. This app is the only reason I finally invested in a heart rate monitor. Plastic is also quite comfortable under a sports bra. I actually came back from a run, stretched and forgot I was wearing it for the 2 hours it took me to cook and eat dinner. I only noticed that when I was taking a shower. I haven't compared it to other devices so I can't guarantee accuracy but based on old school testing it seemsโ€ฆ

From this point we return to hard belts. BEST DESIGN.

I've only had it a few days but for now I'm sticking with 'hard' straps. They are simply better constructed than the so-called soft straps and there are none of the complaints that one would get from a hard strap. The soft straps I've used have metal connectors that rust from sweat. This strap is so comfortable that I wear it for at least seven hours on two consecutive days. Soft straps have always given me problems (disappearance and spikes over time). When I used stiff straps many years agoโ€ฆ

Only works with competitor app (Wahoo) for Android smartphones.

BAD NEWS Doesn't work with any of the current Garmin ANT+ apps on Google Play. A compatible "Garmin Fit" app (which claims to accept an ANT+ signal directly to an Android phone) DOES NOT EXIST. All other applications are not recognized. The phone wait time is 56 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes and the phone number must be found by searching the internet. GOOD NEWS: The Wahoo TICKR app identifies the ANT+ signal from chest straps right on my phone. Not only that, it would give me an accurate heartโ€ฆ

Follow your fitness tracker's instructions to connect and you'll be fine!

I bought this HRM to use with Vivoactive 3 and the instructions that came with the monitor on how to connect it were vague (despite both devices being made by Garmin. I was struggling to find it online until my son in law said , check the manual that came with my Vivactive 3. Of course there were three easy steps to pairing them. I suppose every device is different so it makes sense in hindsight. Once paired you never have to worrying about it again..when I start exercising (usually whileโ€ฆ

The best heart rate strap is here.

Definitely one of the best heart rate chest straps. Why? Here's why: 1) Super durable, I've had it for years. Soft straps break after a few months of use or just don't read well. 2) The battery is very easy to change. The biggest problem with soft strap monitors is that you have to remove those small screws from the device when it comes time to replace the battery. The screws are so weak that you can tear them off very easily. This heart rate strap has a very simple design, any coin can be used

It was very easy to set up. I connected it to my Fenix3 via .

I bought this primarily to track my heart rate during indoor workouts. I give it 5 stars for easy setup but will remove one for easy use riding. It was very easy to set up. I connected it to my Fenix3 by simply searching for a new device on the Fenix. It immediately found the heart rate monitor Heart rate monitor straight away no problem it's quite comfortable to wear I have some chest hair and it caught a few times when I adjusted it on my first ride but it's really not a big deal Now for theโ€ฆ
