OK but could be better

Very easy to use. Use them on the windows of the bunker in the basement. Annoyingly, the ends aren't made of softer rubber for better "gripping". You can tighten it, but then they slide off the wall with minimal effort. I only use an 18 inch canopy. Anything bigger (heavier) I'm not sure they will stand.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

I bought the wrong size because I didn't read it

They arrived on time but were too small which was my fault but I kept them because you never know when you'll get a good spring bar needs. I bought a larger set from the same company and they fit the hat I needed them for perfectly. They were used to hang a small curtain over 2 uneven windows in the basement. They nailed it and did a great job!

Pros
  • Great choice
Cons
  • Reliability

Doesn't take much weight

Probably suitable for light curtains. I wanted to use them to hold my 4 year old's t-shirts. They couldn't. Place them between a wall unit and a closet and they are very stable both on their own and for multiple shirts. I had to put 18 t-shirts in and the hangars started to slide when I was about halfway done. Too bad I didn't go for the cheaper version as I would have less money for something I can't use as they are too short for any other space in our house.

Expand by unscrewing the rod

Follow the instructions carefully or it will easily stop working. Rotate/fold the expand panel to expand it to the width of the window; don't pull it out If you pull out the cornice, it will collapse, since it will not retain its width. Unscrew the expansion rod 1.1/4" to 2" longer than the actual window width. The inner spring seems to have enough tension to hold the heavy window curtain in place. I wouldn't use it as a hanging rod for anything else as adding or removing hanging items over…

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons

You won't get up!

I've bought dozens of these from all sorts of stores over the years. These slip off within minutes no matter how much time we spend adjusting the tension. As soon as we left the room we heard a crack as they slid down the window! I went to the department store and bought a set just to see if it was an accident or something in the aluminum of our new porch windows (the "curtains" are practically weightless) and the ones at the department store held up just great for an initial adjustment. I…
