Doesn't Get Any Better

For years, I've looked for something to repair a canvas mooring cover used on a pontoon boat. The cover is more than 10 years old and has rips and split seams. But it's a custom fit and better than any ill-fitting generic replacement. I tried several brands of repair tape that peeled after several weeks. Sewn patches were marginally better but all of them didn't hold because the fabric is weak. Canvas repair kits using glue didn't hold. Took a chance on this tape with no expectations. I can…

Pros
  • Very handy clear duct tape with good adhesion to plastic.
Cons
  • Overpriced compared to other clear tapes on the market

Great so far (but havent tried removing it)

I've taped some things to glass and I didn't want giant pieces of tape showing through. So I needed strong clear tape for it.This tape does a MASTERFUL job. It is in direct sunlight the entire day and has shown no signs of peeling or coming off. It is indoors though so I cant comment on any wind or water resistence. But I have yet to attempt to try removing it from anything. I will update this review when I need to remove it or notice it coming off, I will make note of it.Other than that, I…

Pros
  • I like how good it adheres and how easily it comes off!
Cons
  • Difficult to cut cleanly without scissors or a knife

Thick and sticky!: my feedback

Bought this to repair the vinyl cover for a cheap portable greenhouse.Have yet to use it for that purpose.Giving it 5 stars right now since I just used it last night to repair my kid's balloon that was looking air. (one of those formed things you can get at a fair). Was impressed with how thick the tape is, how sticky it is, and how easy it was to tear with my teeth, (I was in a hurry or I would usually use scissors.) I had wet the balloon and put soap on it to try to find the leak.even with not

Pros
  • Just what it says. Thick, clear, strong sticky tape.
Cons
  • Unsuitable for use on high-temperature surfaces

Great tape for repairs of inflatables or where cosmetics matter

This is good, strong tape. I've used it to repair inflatables and it has maintained an airtight seal. I've also used it to close seams on items that would suffer cosmetically from opaque tape. The tape unrolls pretty easily. It's not as easy to get started as masking or duct tape, but it had a lot better adhesion. It cuts easily, but doesn't tear well (again, this is not duct tape, have a knife or scissors nearby). It makes a good seal that strengthen to a solid bond in a couple of hours. One…

Pros
  • It is UV and temperature resistant, ensuring reliable performance even in harsh environments
Cons
  • Not suitable for repairs on clothing or other fabric items

Saved my broken lamps

We recently moved into a new home and have been buying a number of furniture pieces online. I bought two lamps for our bedside tables from one of those big internet retailers that sell furniture. Each lamps has two pieces that are faux crystals--one a large globe and a second one a flat disk near the socket. The lamps were packed to the nth degree with styrofoam, yet despite this, both the flat disks were cracked in half. One of the disks actually had shards broken off too--and I could only…

Pros
  • The tape is crystal clear, making it virtually invisible on all surfaces
Cons
  • Not as strong as other types of tape or adhesives

Not perfect but really good

I mostly use them for baby proofing i.e. putting them on the backs of remote plastic so the baby can’t get the batteries out. For that it works perfectly. I also used it on a hole in the bathtub also works perfectly for that but it mostly works on a flat surface it doesn’t flex like duct tape it just kind of needs to stay straight and flat and if it is then it stays completely if it has deflects the whole thing bends and wants to come off

Pros
  • It's a great alternative to traditional duct tape, as it is stronger and more durable
Cons
  • Not suitable for repairs on items that need to be washed or submerged in water

Good tough tape for my opinion

The Gorilla tape is a must have for any person that tinkers or does work around the house or garage. It’s really sticky, tough but flexible. And is waterproof if you apply it while the surface is dry.

Pros
  • The tape can be used to create a watertight seal, making it perfect for boat repair
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use on certain types of plastic or rubber

Using it for a hoop house, feel it's overpriced

This tape does appear to be super strong. I'm using it to attach poly panels along the bottom of a garden hoop house. We had a sunroom collapse this past winter and were able to salvage enough of the poly windows to use around the bottom of a new pvc hoophouse. With no frame for the windows, I needed a way to keep the sides of each window panel attached to each other. I decided to give this a try. It's been rained on, plus gotten wet from the sprinkler, but so far, it's holding up and hasn't…

Pros
  • Crystal Clear Gorilla Duct Tape is a heavy-duty, all-purpose tape that is weatherproof, air tight, crystal clear, and can be torn by hand
Cons
  • May not bond well to rough or textured surfaces

This was my last ditch effort to repair numerous holes in our vinyl pool liner. I tried so many patch kits but they all came off. This is the only thing that has stayed on without peeling back. So much easier to use also

Pros
  • It can be used for patching smooth surfaces, it sticks to rough & uneven surfaces and can even be used to seal and protect surfaces
Cons
  • Not a suitable substitute for epoxy or other heavy-duty adhesives

So far so good in my review

I ordered this to fix a unicorn inflatable, then I taped up the bookcase in my kids room with it, the ripped nonwoven fabric on their delta toy rack, and now I am testing it's might on my washing machine rubber liner. If it holds up and prevents water leaking all over my floor, this will quickly become my favorite tape ever for quick fixes

Pros
  • Adhesive Tapes
Cons
  • Not as clear as advertised and may appear opaque in certain lighting conditions

It's vinyl for my opinion

It's simple. It's clear vinyl with glue slapped on it.It stretches like a latex suit or carbon fiber wrap.It sticks like a pancake syrup bottle x10 power. For its purpose it is 5★'s.But since it is clear vinyl, it doesn't retain the glue well if you need to reposition. The glue will remain on the surface sometimes. It really is just vinyl and glue, and it is extremely effective for what it does.

Pros
  • It is hypoallergenic, making it safe for use on skin
Cons
  • May stiffen and become difficult to work with over time

Good for anything but painted walls

I’ve had one good and one bad experience with This. I used it to tape up a cracked blender and it works like a charm and withstands the dishwasher. I also used it to tape led lights to my wall and even after cleaning the surface area fully, it does not stay stuck to the wall. Therefore I don’t reccomend it for painted surfaces.

Pros
  • Good adhesive.
Cons
  • Lacks UV protection and may yellow with exposure to sunlight

great product on my review.

I love all Gorilla products but this one especially worked for me. It's great for when you don't want your repair to be so visible. It really holds. I have used it to repair a screen torn by my cat till I could get it repaired. It has been up for several weeks and is still holding. Regular duct tape came off in a couple of days and looked disgusting. This is going to be my go to tape for almost everything.

Pros
  • The tape is weather-resistant, allowing it to hold up in extreme temperatures and conditions
Cons
  • May not hold up well against repeated stress or wear

Super Waterproof best in my review

I used a tiny piece to repair pin size hole on a practically new shirt. I put it over the hole on the inside. The shirt has been washed and dried in the dryer probably 10 times since and the tape is still there.

Pros
  • It is made with a tough, waterproof backing that can withstand extreme conditions
Cons
  • May not hold up well under extreme weather conditions

Works better than you think.

I was pretty skeptical that this clear tape can repair a rip in a nylon cover. Previous Gorilla glue products failed to repair a rear view mirror that had twice lost its bond on a windshield. But the reviews were quite positive so I gave it a shot. I cleaned and prepared the surface. I cut the pieces of tape to repair the rip on an outdoor nylon furniture cover. The adhesive bond is very strong. I made a cross pattern then three strips to cover the entire rip. Repeated the process and amazed by

Pros
  • Gorilla Crystal Clear Repair Tape is an affordable and practical choice for anyone looking to make quick and easy repairs
Cons
  • Not suitable for repairs on items that need to be flexible or stretchy

apply carefully, and this should do the trick.

I bought this 2-pack to reinforce my RV's awning, which was delaminating (coming apart) at the very top section (the part that is always exposed to the sun). Prior to applying, I followed some advice I got online for how to make this stuff stick, and it seems to be working:1.) clean off the area you're going to apply this stuff using soapy water.2.) clean the area again with a 50/50 mixture of water and Isopropyl Alcohol. I mixed these together in a spray bottle, and worked my way over the…

Pros
  • It's perfect for emergency repairs around the house or office
Cons
  • Does not conform well to irregular shapes or surfaces

A Great "Stop-Gap " Solution

This is a very heavy, heavily-gummed packing tape. I used it to patch tiny holes in a tent canopy. It was very easy to apply and stuck well to the nylon tent material. The tape also stayed adhered even through about 6 months of use in very hot and also cold, rainy conditions. I eventually had to replace the canopy, but this tape was a good stop-gap that could be carried along and "applied on the fly" as new holes developed. The only issue I had with the product (and the reason I didn't…

Pros
  • Duct Tape
Cons
  • The tape can be difficult to handle and apply

I have vinyl sheet flooring that is about 30 years old and I have two seams that had long pieces of the seam that had a wide gap in it the one seam had a 12 inch section with a 1/2 inch gap in it and another 8 inch section with a 1/4 inch gap in it my other seam had a section with a 8 inch section with a 1/4 inch gap.So I put a strip of gorilla duct tape across both seams then I put another piece on top of the piece I laid down so it has double layer going across both seams then on the 12 inch…

Pros
  • It can be used to repair a wide range of items, including window screens, pool covers, tarps, and more
Cons
  • Not suitable for use in high-pressure or high-temperature situations

Better than duck tape

This has replaced duct tape in my toolbox. It is clear, weatherproof, and lasts longer. I've used it on everything from a cracked front fascia on a van to patching a hole in the bottom of a pool, without draining the pool.

Pros
  • Gorilla Crystal Clear Repair Tape has excellent adhesive qualities, making it ideal for use in automotive, construction, and industrial applications
Cons
  • Can be difficult to remove from skin or hair

Gorilla glue good for me

Sorry unfortunately I can not provide a review for this product because I didn’t get a chance to use it because what I brought it for my daughter threw the air bed away, so didn’t have anything else to use it for.

Pros
  • The tape can be easily removed without leaving any residue, making it ideal for temporary repairs
Cons
  • May not bond well to oily or greasy surfaces
