So they were completely useless. Return for refund

Unfortunately I got them without sharpening the tool geometry. So they were completely useless. Send them back for a refund.

Quality product

Very happy with the quality of these boring bars. Ultra-sharp and well-protected cutting edges during transport. I use it on wood and soft metals, but they'll probably be good on steel too.

Pros
  • Special heat treated alloy steel shafts. | Three lengths for each minimum hole diameter.
Cons
  • So far so good

These don't cut.

I missed the return deadline by 5 days, never assume the item is as advertised. The first set of carbide tipped boring bars I bought lasted for years if sharpened on a diamond wheel from time to time. I didn't know there was such a thing as "soft" carbide. These carbide tips (if carbide) wear out in just a few cuts and feel as soft as the mild steel I'm cutting.

Pros
  • A shank diameter. (B) 1/2 | install PC. 9
Cons
  • Not sure
