Works well. in door hardware and locks

I've had it for a few years but haven't tested it to see how it holds up. Works today as well as unboxed for two seasons in Alaskan weather, rain, snow, cold and heat and keeps my woodshed door closed.

Pros
  • dope
Cons
  • unreliable

Works great for my double leaf barn doors

Haven't been able to find anything similar locally and have always been nervous about ordering an item like this online as can't see actual durability etc but am very satisfied and it works excellent for locking the second double door in my shed.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Upgradable

Latch fell apart after 2 weeks

I loved how this spring latch did the job until my friend opened the garage door and the latch broke and actually shot her in the head. Ouch! I will buy it again and hope this doesn't happen again.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not everything fits

large shapely chain pin very tight

very tight spring, for this I took the spring and closed it with the needle tip, squeezed it a bit to make it shorter and adjusted the tension for better closing and loosening. very good, robust bolt for my handmade wagon doors

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Expensive

hard wearing: door hardware and locks

I thought it was a bit overpriced but now that I own this product all I can say is WOW. I bought 2 of these but 1 should work. very strong and sturdy and it takes a lot of force for the internal spring to pull the pin out so this should work fine for securing the barn doors. I no longer need to go outside and find my barn open to the world, now this product helps protect my lawn tools and equipment.

Pros
  • satisfied so far
Cons
  • will write later

Works as expected and easy to install

Fits me perfectly. I was able to easily rotate the latch so I could install it on the inside of the door. Seems to be of good quality but made from thin metal bent around a stud so only time will tell how long it will last. Since I installed it inside and none of the strikers were designed to fit in, I had to flatten one of the panels so I could secure it in the door frame.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
