I tried using my 3 pole headset with this product in my Note5 and in my Razer Black Widow Chroma v2. This did not work. after digging through the images (and not trusting the description). that is the case.Apparently, the connector that needs to be used must always be the 4 pole male connector. I tried every variation to get this to work because I want to do interviews w/ two people speaking w/ BOYA lavalier mics and a single input TASCAM DR-05. One mic w/ power on. no problem into the TASCAM. one mic w/ power into this adapter no audio, with power off I have audio. This is great, it makes it really easy to do interviews! I have been thinking of several different things I will apply this too. When my son and I want to listen with earbuds, we can use the same device! This will come in very handy, not to mention it is very nicely made, very solid feeling. This product did NOT work. It was not a splitter. One is an output the other an input.therefore it did not record two mics simultaneously. I was very disappointed because I really needed it for an interview.
