Attention - low price but low quality!

Bought, arrived with faulty wiring preventing operation, sent it back for another and had the same problem when replacing. Don't let the price fool you, you get what you pay for. Both units had faulty wiring and both were returned. I found another one for a few bucks more and it works great. I would not recommend this particular product to anyone.

Wrongly plugged in: external accessory

Don't be fooled - as other reviewers have pointed out, it's plugged in the wrong way - it flashes when the right turn signal is on. When I bought it, I thought that maybe other buyers' experience was user error. No, it is actually connected incorrectly. This is a 4 pin connector and there are two outer pins (ground and right turn) but no middle pins. As you can see from the photos, this is a white/green wire in the standard configuration. Check the schematics online and you will need pins 1 and

It fits and works perfectly!

I installed this clutch cover on my 2016 Ford Transit van. Fits well and works as described. The LEDs light up as soon as (without delay, without flashing) the brake pedal is pressed. I don't know what the other reviewers are referring to, or maybe I have an updated version, but the LEDs don't flash when a turn signal is used, only when the brake is pressed. The LEDs will flash once when the van's security system is arming and disarming, but that's because the wiring is connected to the factory

Suggestions for Improvement

Overall works great on my 2014 Tacoma TRD clutch for the price. Bought to replace a harbor cargo light I bought 5 years ago. The "elderly" driver crashed into the back of my truck. HF no longer carries this. I added a GS-100B flash for added effect. (See YouTube videos for this add-on) I also applied thin foam tape to the top and bottom to eliminate the rattling. Fits very tight. I'm not sure why they give you a hitch pin and key clip as most owners should already have them. Reduce costs and…

Good product! For example an additional brake light!

This is one of the best buys I have found for my 1997 Ford F-150 pickup. For the money it seems well made and was very easy to assemble. It even came with a clutch pin and clasp to keep it in place. (Everything you see in the picture shown comes with this amazing offer) It's really great because I have a rear view camera and when I press the brake pedal and drive backwards this brake light provides extra light in the area where mine camera checked. I have no idea how they can include shipping…

Good, but there is a downside.

The one I got had 3 wires and apparently it's smart enough to only work when you step on the brake. I don't have the two wire or turn signal issue mentioned in other reviews. However, this light is for old school cars, not new ones with bulb controls. On my car with this connector it would be fine as long as I don't use the turn signal. When I do this, I immediately get a "Trailer Turn Signal Failure" warning on the dash, which doesn't go off until I unplug the hitch light and plug it back in…

Plugged in the light and it works great. Now he's far behind.

Bought this to work on my 2010 HHR. I have a 1 1/4 hitch so I bought a 1 1/4 to 2 inch adapter but it went well past my bumper. Make a bracket with 1 1/4 square tubing. Unscrew the light from the bracket, pry the plastic in to get the wire out so I don't cut the bracket right in front of the plastic inside the tube behind the light (you don't have to cut the plastic, I did this works by simply drilling a hole from top to bottom and adding a 1/4" screw, or you can drill a hole the same size as…

Nice bright LEDs for hitch accessories

I bought this to try and disable the auto start/stop on my 2017 F150. Not as much. Ready to give up on Ford because of it. The light uses ground and left and right turn signal brake lights. This differs from what has been shown and described in previous reviews. It has a control board with diodes, resistors and another device that has a wire cut off. During dyno testing I found that it comes on and stays on when both RL brake lights are on from a source of about 13.7V independent of the turn…
