This puzzle is everything for my almost 2 year old. Now he's a big fan of animals and he likes it. Thick, durable parts. He will sit and play with this puzzle for 30 minutes. He likes to put them in their place and then take them out one by one to describe each animal and the sounds it makes. It's easy enough that he can do it on his own without getting worked up. Ideal for children from 18 months to 2 years.

My 8 month old loved it and still loves it at 10 months old. But the puzzle piece got wet, as often happens with children wearing spill-proof cups, and broke and began to peel off. I have attached photos. The alligator/croc is the only one that has done this, but I'm concerned the paint will peel off it and it might happen to others. I also couldn't find anywhere on their site or on this site what materials were used to make the puzzle, so I'm not sure if it's non-toxic.

I really like this puzzle. The colors correspond to the picture. It is made of high quality wood, the edges are even. No problem with shards. The characters' faces are so cute and attractive. This is a very solid and safe puzzle. This is a fun way to learn about some of the animals at the zoo. This is a great way for kids to learn more about colors. First of all the description says it is hand painted. They have decals, like all modern M&D. This makes it appear like only the background is a sticker and the animals are either still drawn or just a higher quality sticker than the pin puzzles. But the quality has gone down.
