⏰ Mudder Clock Movement Mechanism: 3/25 Inch Maximum Dial Thickness, 1/2 Inch Total Shaft Length Review

Nice and quiet mechanism. The hands are thin and of poor quality, like almost all watch hands, but I installed them and adjusted them to collide with each other as you pass. So far it works well and shows the exact time. Let's see how it holds up over time. I wish someone would build one with brass gears and steady hands.

Reluctantly, I disassembled a special clock that was no longer working to measure the new movement. I was nervous about leaving it "unfinished" for 2 days until my package arrived. Will I remember putting this all together? Thankfully, it was a very easy task. The only problem I had was finding a movement with sufficiently short watch hands. They were easy to cut with scissors and looked good.

The product itself is good for the price. I managed to bend my arms again (not perfect) and test the mechanism (works great out of the box). I was only going to return it due to the condition of the packaging but that's not the fault of the manufacturer or seller and for the price it wasn't a big deal. Would return if traffic was disrupted.

I'm really impressed with the movement of the Mudder Clock. It is very easy to install, shows accurate time and looks good. I used two of these in two separate clocks I made from LPs. The clock mechanism has metal hands and the internal mechanisms are encased in a plastic case. Be careful not to bend the clock hands during installation as they are quite thin. These mechanisms are available in black, red and white. I love this product and will buy more if needed.

Received at the end of July 2016 and immediately installed in my favorite lesson. He was great at keeping time when he was working. October 3, 2016 stopped working. I checked the battery and it was dead. So I swapped the battery for a new one. This went on for another four hours and the clock stopped working again. Very good product but two problems. I spent an hour at Walmart and Michael tried to teach his people what "move" meant, but ended up just ordering it from Revain. Problem A was that the instructions say to attach the hour hand and "press gently". Nothing"light" was not. We pushed and pushed. Difficult. Problem B was you only get one pair of hands. Once you take a pair of scissors and cut off the hour hand, your only regret might be that you cut it too short. I had to mark it and then reassemble

I bought this movement to build my own clock. After reading some of the other reviews I wasn't sure if it would be hit or miss but thought it was worth a try. The package arrived in perfect condition with all the parts and worked fine the first time I put the battery in to make sure it was working. However, problems arose later.
