Description of NESDR SMArTee XTR SDR: Premium RTL-SDR with Extended Tuning Range, Aluminum Enclosure, Bias Tee, 0.5PPM TCXO, SMA Input

Premium software defined radio NESDR SMArTee XTR in a beautiful silver brushed aluminum enclosure. A wide variety of improvements on other designs, including integrated 4.5V 250mA bias-tee, ultra-low phase noise 0.5PPM TCXO, 2 RF-suitable voltage regulators, custom heatsink, 2 silicone pads and SMA female connector. Designed from the ground up to reduce USB port occlusion. Run multiple NESDR SMArt series devices side-by-side with any USB-compliant device, including tightly-spaced embedded devices like the Raspberry Pi. SDR frequency capability approximately 65MHz-2300MHz. Frequency range can be extended down to 100kHz or lower with the Ham It Up, also available on Amazon (B009LQT3G6). Proudly built by Nooelec in the USA and Canada! Full 2-year product warranty.

DOA on the first block. but the second block works.

I am very familiar with SDRs and how to install them. no usb recognition on all machines. looks good but DOA The second device works but when will NOOELEC be held accountable for falsely advertising this device's specs? Add requirements for the 2.3 GHz cap. I bought this so I can control the LRO orbiting the moon in the 2.2GHz region. it's not going to happen. This reaches a maximum frequency of 2.18 GHz. As other buyers here at Revain have noted, their devices do exactly the same thing. CHANGE

A bit misleading but still a good device

I give 3 stars for previous experience with Nooelec devices. I have bought many Nooelec devices, I consider myself a fan of the company. This purchase was driven by a desire for more bandwidth and an integrated bias tee for the LNA. I usually use my devices with SDR#, which is still my favorite software. When I connect this device, my software does not start even if I reinstall the Zadig driver. When I set up my smartee device and then change it to smartee xrt, my system stops and SDR# fails…

Another great product from NOOELEC! Just be aware of the limits!

Didn't like it at first, but later found that most SDR programs have a "workaround" for the quirks of the E4000 tuner. I still don't understand why some people love this tuner given its obvious limitations, but I can honestly say that despite the e4000 tuner, the sensitivity is on par with the NESDR SMArt and NESDR SMTee. I have all three and this is definitely my #3 choice. However, all three are better than the competition (which will remain unnamed). Nooelec has way too many options, but…

Good initial SDR in external components

This NESDR SMArTee XTR SDR seems to work well after 3 weeks of heavy use almost every day. Feels warm, but that's okay. I didn't notice any frequency drift as the SMArTee XTR gets warm after an hour of use. I also have a NESDR SMArTee v2 SDR that I was comparing. The improvements I would like to make to these NESDRs would be releasing new products with a USB 3.0 connector instead of the USB 2.0 connector they now come with, which shouldn't cost much more. Produce full bandwidth SDR from 25MHz…

DRIVERS via Zadig are VERY UNSTABLE and have crashed my computer many times. I DO NOT LIKE THAT. Also, this has been marketed and marketed as a "3.0 compatible device" (according to USB standards), but it is the ONLY USB 2.0 device that happens to still work on USB 3.0 ports. THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING. Otherwise the device WORKS AS RECOMMENDED (the problem with the drivers is NOT a hardware problem. I know the problem is with the software drivers). And the only other problem is that the…
