Ignore the armhole.

This is a regular cage except for the hand hole which I don't like at all. I didn't send it back because I was lazy. I just tied the hole up and use it like a normal cage with extra. They lasted about a year so I'll buy the right one next time. why do you want it You will not be bitten by caterpillars or butterflies.

Pros
  • Easy to use

Gorgeous butterfly apartment!

Perfect folding flat for my little buggy beauty! I have bought 3 of these habitats so far to house my 80 year old monarch caterpillar and butterflies until we release them! The mesh is small enough for me to be comfortable enough to keep my habits out without fear of other small critters getting in and hurting my little ones! Also a great price for a quality product! Thank you!

Awesome Butterfly Cages

I recommend these 🦋 Butterfly Cages with all my heart. I have three. They are solid, the zipper works well and the clear vinyl sheet on one side helps a lot as I can follow the progress of my little Monarch caterpillars. Two or even three spurge plants easily fit into each cage. I divide small, medium and large 🐛 caterpillars into separate cells. This is a good thing because they are very hungry and sometimes accidentally eat each other when hungry!

As described in Training & Education

Ideal for 10 painted female caterpillars/butterflies and 2 potted plants. For those working with butterflies for the first time. When caterpillars hatch from raccoons, there is a small amount of blood on the web and it cannot be cleaned (which I didn't realize until I installed it). on the side and under the bottom of this net to avoid clutter and to avoid placing it directly on the wall due to small splashes. Overall very happy with the purchase and the result.

I love the price, the safety and all the extras that make this product exceptional. It is so light that it can be carried or moved. My first meditarian gecko pup escaped from a glass terrarium when the top of the screen was not securely fastened at all four corners. > (These little geckos can climb out of glass cases!) My new gecko can't escape with this product. Durable material and the only way out other than the attached sleeve that can be tightened is the zipper that holds the sleeve in…

Beautiful habitat for butterflies

They are a perfect match for us. We run the Monarch research program, tagging and releasing anyone we find. They've done a great job of keeping up with all the tracks we're collecting. Butterflies have enough space to hang and then dry. They crawl up, feel like it's a web material, and hang. I also liked that my grandkids are old enough to attend, so they have grandkids at home too. They are strong yet light and appear to be well made. The double zipper system works well because sometimes the…

Good size, design and quality. Great for growing monarchs.

We raised almost 20 monarchs with this habitat this summer. Good workmanship and high quality materials. It was even big enough for me to put a 3 gallon spurge plant in and there was still room. her down! A note I would like to make for those interested in raising monarch butterflies or other butterflies with them: please consider placing a thick towel on the floor of the habitat once your caterpillars have formed pupae. That way, if one of them gets knocked down or falls, they'll land on…

I especially appreciate the clear vinyl side for viewing.

I bought this for Monarch caterpillars I brought from my garden. At first they were in a plastic small animal cage, which was fine, but I wish they had more space after they turned into butterflies. I didn't have to use the cleaning pod, so I can't comment on that from experience, but it would be really nice to be able to keep both pupae and caterpillars in the same housing. There are silly hanging rails attached to the top zipper so time will tell what I'll do to free them if they don't pop up

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Only available in white

Big mesh, big track size

I have the larger rectangular version. It was an excellent choice for rearing monarch butterflies. This is a very good size. The mesh is fine enough that I don't have to worry about losing my chicks. The zippered door opens very wide, making packing and unpacking easier. I've easily grown 7 caterpillars at once and could probably add a few more if I had enough milkweed. My only annoyance was the "see through" plastic window. It was useless. It was so wrinkled I couldn't see it. I have tried to…
