👶 Child Safety Harness by Safety 1st Review

I got this harness for my 2 year old girl to attend her older sibling's events/games. It works as it should. Sometimes it can be difficult to put her on because you have to loosen the shoulder strap to put it on her head and then tighten it again before she runs away. But so far she's fine. It's great for the crowd when they're trying to leave and I've got my hands full. It will take time to get used to carrying it in such a way that it does not reach the end, pulls back and falls off.

Strong material but a bit rough. works over clothes. My niece is 3 and can also unbuckle the buckles that many of them have on the front. This leash attaches to a D-ring at the center back. The velcro feels sturdy and requires a fair amount of force to detach. The leash portion is also detachable and can be used as a hand leash (Velcro) if it outgrows the strap fit. Worked like a charm at Disney. Good price, great quality.

I know some people gave us weird looks to put them on our 18 month old twin granddaughter but with a 5 year old child and crazy people in this world this was the way out because they don't always want to be pushed around the stroller. We took them to the park and tried them out. Some people disagree with this security feature, but it's nice to have on hand in case you need it. They run lightning fast, but I, like a grandmother, don't run that fast.

Unpadded for comfort but should be fine for a small child. We had this in Yellowstone because of the danger, but we wanted our 3.5 year old to be able to walk the trails. It was a compromise. I can hardly fit him even though he's a bit fat. I felt safer walking in geothermal land. He hated it but endured it. At least I could threaten him with it if he doesn't take my hand and come with me. In any case, he was safer. If any of the adult comments, just tell them when the adult muzzle comes out…

I used this occasionally with my 18 months. old granddaughter. Travelling, walking etc. This gives her the freedom to explore and gives me peace of mind that she cannot run away and get into danger. I've had one for over 30 years. back (actually I think it was that brand but it didn't have velcro and the buckles were metal) for one of my kids when they were growing up and it really helped. It arrived on time and fit our 3.5 year old perfectly. We just used it during our Disneyland vacation and was able to keep our son close and not worry about him getting lost. I wouldn't go to such a crowded place without this pendant. We removed it when he was in a wheelchair because he complained that the brace hurt his back, but that was the only time the brace was removed from him. This is a must have for several kids in a busy city. We have twins, they don't want to hold hands, they want to be independent, they walk in different directions all the time, they don't want to be in the stroller, they want to walk/run.
