Almost finished. best in charging stations

This technique is pretty good. Allows you to connect a monitor, wired mouse, wired keyboard, headphone amp, and Bluetooth devices. I was surprised that they all worked when plugged in. However, the Dex panel is missing where it's most commonly seen. Some important popular apps don't work in Dex mode: Netflix, Prime Videos. Prime Videos doesn't work at all and Netflix starts small and can't expand to full screen. YouTube works great with a resizable window, but other elements on YouTube are…

Some flaws but so much potential

Here is a summary of my experience with the Dex Pad: Cons: 1. In some cases it may not be possible to use this device. I have a Tech21 case and it won't connect because the case covers the charging port too much. If you don't mind taking the case off here and there to enjoy the semi-PC, by all means! 2. APP Functions - 85% of my application list "works". Most of my apps actually open, but in the same orientation as your regular phone currently (January 2019). Made some updates to convert some…

Sucks, bad on charging stations

I originally had an S4 and used the Smart Dock to access the network with a monitor, physical keyboard and mouse. It worked well until Samsung updated the OS, leaving me unable to access many websites and requiring repeated attempts to connect the phone to the station. I was looking to get a newer Galaxy but unfortunately Samsung removed the MHL capability on the S5, S6 and S7. There was no way to connect these phones to a monitor via a wired connection (it was only bluetooth). So I was…

Dex offers a great desktop experience

I've been using the Dex Pad with my Samsung Galaxy S8+ for 2 weeks. First of all it is VERY IMPORTANT to enable "Dex Labs". Why? Without enabling, most apps don't allow resizing and just get stuck in "phone proportions". So what's the point of Dex then, right? However - and I tip my hat to Samsung for that - Dex Labs is doing something with non-Dex apps to convince them to switch to tablet mode. It also tricks applications to run in resized windows. That's HUGE for a Dex desktop. When I ordered
