Bought for a rental in Pune. Secugen - "waste of time and money" - that should have been his model name. Worst documentation and online support. I wish Secugen would read this review. Please ping me if you want me to explain the importance of customer experience.

Bought one of these to make an ID PIN reset station at work and plugged it in. Windows recognized it and loaded drivers for it, no problem. Scans fingerprints at the right time based on how effectively the user places their finger. The device feels heavy with a nice finish. For some reason it disconnects from the dock, I don't know why, but it doesn't matter.

I work in a gym and we use Hamster IV to sign our clients in and they scan their finger instead of a membership card every time they come in to have. I estimate 40-50% of our customers will get it up and running correctly and quickly. In most cases, however, the scanner can take more than 45 seconds to recognize the fingerprint and often does not find a match, leading to customer frustration.
