Worked better than I expected.

At first I took this Blu-ray player to play Blu-ray discs and I wasn't interested in aspects of its operation. I was wondering how well this would work on my network since I have a cable modem, router, HP 6940 printer and two computers. Because when I first put this network together I decided to go with a 4 port router as I really didn't think I would ever have more than two or three computers and a network printer so 4 ports seemed to be enough. I had a 4 port Linksys switch that I used before

Surprised by the small size of the "Sony BDP-S185 1080p Blu-Ray DVD Player". The device is only 7.4 inches deep, 11.4 inches long, 1.6 inches thick and weighs only 3 pounds! The HDMI connection was routed to the Sony HT-CT150 cinema system; Since the audio is also transmitted through the HDMI cable, no additional connection was required other than an RJ-45 cable that runs straight to the wall plate…

Sony BDP-S185 Blu-Ray Disc Player

I bought it as a "Family" Christmas present and of course I started using it right away as it was the a mother's prerogative. I picked this Blu-ray player out of everything Revain offers for one reason - it plays every application imaginable. It includes Revain, Netflix, Hulu plus, Pandora, Crackle, YouTube, Cinema Now, Vudu and more videos. I bought a new unit, not a refurbished one, and it sold for $68. I also had the option to purchase an HDMI cable (DVI Gear HDMI Cable 2M 6ft, $3.98) which…

Pros
  • Internet Video Streaming (Online LAN Connection)
