Refill before each use?

I've only used the ink line a few times since I bought it but it seems like I have to refill ink every time I use it? Idk I can stick to my chalk.

Pros
  • Fast drying ink
Cons
  • Upgradeable

You can only use one ribbon

Just wanted to let everyone know that if you need two different ink colors you must order two different ink lines. I bought the red and the black and only one inline and the contractor told me he needs 2. Other than that it's the contractor's choice, high quality and excellent quality.

Pros
  • Included components: Measuring tool
Cons
  • Not the best

Tajima - but made in China!

Low price, made in China (surprise). Doesn't fully rewind without help. The line of ink on the smooth pine wood is fuzzy, fuzzy and thin. You have to guess by eye to follow the middle of the line at the break. Judging by the brand name, it was made in Japan (and of the best quality). Too bad they gave it to a Chinese manufacturer. I'd rather pay more to get a better one.

Pros
  • Semi-permanent, abrasion and smudge resistant marking line does not wash off
Cons
  • Has flaws

Very thin line I love

I'm a tiler doing mostly home repairs. These are the only lines I will use. Very thin line that I love. After drying, the cord becomes stiff and I don't need to freeze the cord. Appears on plastic mats such as Ditra or Stratamate. The only annoying thing is that the line takes a while to open wide enough to hold enough ink to make a good line. It takes about three weeks of daily use to get what I like. No big deal, they last me an average of 4 years before I replace them. I've never had to…

Pros
  • User serviceable with instructions and tool to easily replace line with snap button
Cons
  • Cord shorter than other picks
