I've tested many outlet combinations. The same cracker, has 80 MB. Different breakers mostly reach either 40 MB or 8 MB. I had a laptop in a corner/table in the kitchen where my kids did their homework and my wife surfed the internet. For some reason there was an unreliable WiFi connection in the corner of the room. When plugged in, the speed was normal, but kept dropping. I looked at several options, settled on the powerline adapter and settled on this model based on the price and features.
