Great lens for the PRICE

This is a tough (literally) lens. All metal and glass. ZERO plastic (at least on the outside). Very soft wide open - but only $80 Chromatic aberration noticeable - but only $80 100% manual focus - but only $80 f-stops not all 1/3 - but only $80. Soft corners - but it's only $80. Conclusion: A GREAT $80 lens. VERY small package. Close the aperture with a few clicks and you've got a nice, sharp bokeh image. I'm not a pixel artist so don't ask me about angles - honestly I don't care. I can keep…

Big Small Lens in Camera Lenses

Good. I was hoping for a small, fast 50mm equivalent lens with a more "classic" character than my excellent Fujifilm f/1.4 35mm lens. The price seemed too good so I wasn't too hopeful. I'm happy to report that I was immediately impressed by this lens. It's certainly sharp when stopped down, but wide open it produces the dreamy bokeh I was hoping for, while still being reasonably sharp in the center. Wide open contrast is also lower, which is exactly what I was looking for, especially for black…

Small lens, small price, fun shooting!

This lens arrived last night. I immediately installed it on the X-Pro2. Have fun! Full manual focus - the lens is all metal, the mount is metal, even the lens cap is metal! It's very small, but the focus ring is smooth and easy to find. The aperture ring has subtle clicks, which is nice. I'm not sure if I can mount any filters on this lens but I will try at some point! The lens is small, manual focus peaking on Fuji bodies makes it easy to use. Sharpness is good! I've only shot in Acros image…

For money, why not?

I ordered my copy off eBay because it was $68 and it got free shipping. It took some time to leave Hong Kong due to the global pandemic. It comes in a nice matte box that you can use for other little knick knacks. It's a bit heavy, all metal, and looks a bit weird. Based on a vintage VoigtlΓ€nder lens, this little guy won't disappoint. 35mm is not my favorite focal length on asp-c. I think it's a bit tight for most exercises, I prefer to use 28mm which is about 40mm. In the closed position it is
