WARN 73599 Synthetic Rope Service Review

I used this rope to replace the standard rope on my Super Winch Terra 35. I like this rope much more than the original except that it didn't come with a protective cover. I've only used it twice but it worked fine.

Perfect replacement for my Warn synthetic winch rope. I've learned the hard way that when I use the blade on an ATV in the winter, snow and ice put a lot of strain on the rope. When using a plow, be sure to switch to the cheaper "plough lift rope”.

I love this Kevlar cable. Works much better than metal cable. To me. My first Kevlar cable lasted from October 2013 until I replaced it in September 2017. I replaced him because he was 4 years old. NOT because there was something wrong with him! However, try not to get it too wet because if it freezes it may break. I learned this from my neighbor whose winch and rope are more susceptible to snow and wet than my winch and rope. Highly recommended.!

I purchased this item to replace my cable with a 2.5 ton Warn winch on my Polaris 800 Sportsman. The day after installation we went on a full day trip which required me to use the winch about half a dozen times to get some of my friends to the popular mud pit. I've bought several of these Warn Rope kits and can't comment on them other than don't snap them. I use it all year round, less so in winter. They tend to break when they get wet and you try to plow. Every year I have to haul my plow back to pick up the quad and go back to the shop to fix what's broken. Rope seems to fry very easily when wet. I personally don't like metal wire rope because it wears out after a while, but this rope is not a good replacement for wire rope. The black rope cover is
