Medium format slide

I couldn't fit the medium format slides (all in cardboard holders) into the adapter intended for film or negative, but I was still able to scan them by making a cardboard adapter with a cut out for media. Since they were all over 60 years old I wasn't worried about cardboard stains on the pictures. I just wanted to digitize them while they were still in good condition (too late for some, colors turned too red). Medium format, but luckily I went with this one because it said "120 professionalโ€ฆ

Clever concept ruined by ignorant firmware design

Let's start with a real world test: For less than $200 you can't expect a really high quality film scanner, but it was reasonable to expect better quality than you can find in 2001. Unfortunately, this does not apply to the Wolverine F2D Saturn digital film and slide scanner, which can convert 35mm negatives and slides, 120 medium format film and 127 film, and microfiche to JPEG digital images. Plustek OpticFilm 35mm scanner, but it cannot handle medium format film. I was hoping that despiteโ€ฆ

Great car for the price. Ideal for the average person.

I usually use negatives on the Canoscan 9000f. But I'm traveling and wanted to scan some negatives before returning home (and yes, I'm traveling with a small film developing kit). So I ordered this and thought it would be ok now. And I rescanned some of the pictures I really wanted when I got home. First, it is very limited in its capabilities, but digitizes 120, 35mm and 127mm with ease. By the way, I use all 3 formats. Digitizing an untrimmed roll of film of any size is incredibly fast. Muchโ€ฆ

The first review is bad because I received the device brand new and when I started using it I noticed a defect or artifact in the viewer and it also scanned the artifact into a digitally stored file . . It's not a good first impression, says a lot about quality control, but it has a "Made in China" sticker. The cleaning brush that came with the machine was ineffective in removing the bug that was causing a dark black shape on every slide I tried to scan. I sent the viewer back to Revain andโ€ฆ

Only "OK " Image Quality

I'm a professional photographer, so my image quality requirements are probably a bit higher than the average user. I bought F2D to convert old slide film that I've been keeping for a while. At this price I knew the picture quality wouldn't be top notch. but unfortunately the picture quality of digital calls was nowhere near what I had hoped for. As mentioned, if you just want to convert your slides into digital files for web use and make small prints (4x6), F2D works just fine. But if you'reโ€ฆ

Let's start with a real review: for under $200 you can't expect a really high quality film scanner, but it seems reasonable, better quality than you might find that to be expected in 2001. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the Wolverine F2D Saturn digital film and slide scanner, which can convert 35mm negatives and slides, 120 medium format film and 127 film, and microfiche to digital format.
