Terrible product design

Terrible product. The holes were too small, which prevented the toothpicks from evenly distributing the model's nozzles.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • So-so

distorted in 3D jigsaw puzzles

great jigsaw puzzle but I wouldn't recommend it for beginners or children, toothpicks can hurt if not handled properly, no one should use a razor as instructed in the instructions as there one move can cause plenty of injury, fingernail clippers cut flush and safely, don't use your fingers to poke toothpicks through holes, be smart and the project will turn out great

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • some difficulty

Fun product but difficult and risky to assemble

When we received this the instructions looked very clear, the woodwork is fine. They need a little sanding here and there, but ok. The trick comes in when you need to put the pieces together with those toothpicks. They are sharp, difficult to dent and easy to break. There are many steps in the assembly process, but that's half the fun. We ended up using glue as toothpicks were a hazard when assembling with our 8 year old boy.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Slightly torn

For handicraft enthusiasts

At first this was a problem due to the filigree handling of small parts from the ground up. He used the rubber end of a pencil and gently pressed the edges to separate the pieces. It's his project but I hated seeing him work so hard so I ended up helping him. I ended up practically hitting this thing to separate these parts. Luckily nothing broke, just split ends. After reading some reviews I bought a precision knife (x-acto) for my next project.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Deception goods in 3D puzzles

I left a 1 star review with 4 photos showing how this product which only comes with toothpicks to hold everything together couldn't even assemble it and that after my son put toothpicks in his fingers ( like (as an adult I could without putting the toothpicks in it) that it was dangerous. My original review was removed to find another sucker who would pay $50 for this useless toy. And my son was very disappointed too. I guess that the seller has influence on Revain. This review will also likely

fun and challenge!

This is a great laser cut wooden model but a bit difficult for children. Thoughtful technical solutions were used in its creation, and the results are impressive. Here are some testimonials from adults who didn't insert toothpicks or children who got their fingers caught, but this is just part of this set and its complexity. Use the tools provided (toothpick wax and sandpaper). because of the sometimes uneven toothpick size) it took me a few hours to assemble, but I enjoyed it as much as anyone

This is a wooden robotic arm - COOL!

Really cool! This was my first wood build and I had a lot of fun. It's like the hand of the terminator! I didn't pay close attention to the grinding points so it doesn't work as well as it could, but that's my fault, not the kit. I also accidentally flipped the board where the fingers were attached and when I figured it out I was too far away, but luckily I was able to flip the board where your hand goes in so it became a left hand, not a right Hand. Anyway I built it like a work of art so I…

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Hard to say

It's cool when they're together. That's the bad part.

My husband broke his fingers 3 nights in a row helping our son put this together. Be sure to check the age on the packaging (14+). Our 10 year old loves it now that it's assembled but there was ZERO chance of him making it himself. The little pieces of wood (the toothpicks that hold the pieces together) take a lot of work and effort to get them where they belong. It could probably be done overnight but it gets really painful after a while so you MUST take a break. Even if you use tools to help.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • So far so good

Difficult, but I managed it

First, I am an adult carpenter and have experience with small details. With that in mind, it took me about 8-10 hours to assemble this model. It was fairly easy to assemble but the construction methods were time consuming. This model was more difficult to assemble than, for example, a plastic model with a comparable level of detail. The finished hand worked well and scared the dog. However, as I am writing this in late March during the COVID-19 crisis, I can try to use it as a means of social…
