You may not receive all 100 pieces

Instead of 100 pieces I only received 98 pieces for this item. Well I had time to kill (stay at home) and when I saw the thin zipped bag I had a hunch there might not be 100 of them. I don't care in the grand scheme of things, but there is an ethical issue. And I'm concerned that this could become a big problem if this is done for multiple orders. What I suspect! The same for a further order of 100 pieces. Sockets I made. I hope this is an honest mistake and not a scam. I am attaching a photo…

Pros
  • Industry & Science
Cons
  • unreliable

I bought 16 AWG wire plugs and sockets for a fairly complex camper project (building an electrical system), and the crimp isn't strong, even with filament for strain relief - look for a connector that crimps the insulation or your wire will come out. You get what you pay for and these are junk connectors if you want to do legit wiring. My background is in avionics with a lot of experience. Use the correct crimping tool. Avoid this and spend more money on a quality connector.

Pros
  • Spade
Cons
  • packaging is ugly

Good and bad review

100 packs of spade connectors and sockets. Good: None Bad: Opened packages and used revolving pliers for attaching to 16 AWG stranded wire. Inserted into a voltage tester. The milspec for this AWG is 50 pounds to failure. The first crimp attempt failed at 5 lbs. The second attempt failed at 7 pounds. Okay, pulled ratchet pliers - same result, failed at 5 lbs. The pull test failed at 15 pounds. Better, but still a failure. At this point I don't even need to waste time determining the thickness…
