|---|---|
| Spot trading | Peer-to-peer atomic swaps between coins on different chains through order books, without wrapped tokens. |
| Custody / wallet | Non-custodial multi-coin wallet supporting 500+ cryptocurrencies across 10+ protocols. |
| Own token | KMD: 25% of DEX fees on KMD pairs are used to burn KMD. |

## Security and audits

- Keys and seed phrases are generated and kept on the user's device.
- The code is open source (GPL-3.0 on GitHub).
- In June 2019 a malicious npm dependency collected seed phrases from Komodo's earlier Agama wallet; Komodo moved about 8 million KMD and 96 BTC from exposed wallets to a secure wallet for return to users.

## Security incidents

| Date | What happened | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 4 June 2019 | Key compromise: A malicious update to an npm module used by Komodo's earlier Agama wallet (not AtomicDEX/Komodo Wallet) collected users' seed phrases on a public server. Komodo says an attacker had started emptying wallets; Komodo used the exposed seeds to move about 8 million KMD and 96 BTC to a secure wallet. The KMD blockchain was not affected. Funds returned: Komodo said all swept funds would be returned to users who create a new wallet and complete its Missing Funds Claim Form. | [komodoplatform.com](https://komodoplatform.com/en/blog/update-agama-vulnerability/) |

## Fees

## How voting works

Votes are anonymous and carry no text. Each device has one vote per item; press the same button again to remove it. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is voting. We keep a random device ID in a cookie and a salted hash of the IP address to limit abuse — no names, no accounts. Votes are visitors’ opinions, not investment advice.
